Peter Moore interview

May 4th, 2006 by Darren Stevens in Business, E3, Online, Xbox360

Peter MooreBusinessWeek has an interview with Microsoft’s Peter Moore. The interview is the usual biz stuff, but one thing stands out. When asked about the Wii controller and innovative design, Moore responded by saying that Xbox Live is more innovative than the Wii controller.

” I would argue that talking millions of gamers and connecting them with friends and strangers around the world… I’d call that pretty innovative.”

Connecting people? All over the world? So now Xbox apperantly invented the Internet.

PC gamers “connected” for years, and applying that same technology to consoles is a bit easier (and less innovative) than developing the Wii controller.
