Reuters are reportng in an article that Al-Qaeda uses Battlefield 2 mods to spread propaganda and to recruit new “freedom fighters” among young muslims.
From the mod:
“I was just a boy when the infidels came to my village in Blackhawk helicopters,” a narrator’s voice said as the screen flashed between images of street-level gunfights, explosions and helicopter assaults.
I wonder if Al-queda has had all the bug problems and the bad patches from EA as the rest of us?
EA responded by saying they cannot control what modder chose to do. I agree. But they can at least fix the bugs before taking off to make Battlefield 2142.

2For those of us who aren’t on the front lines over in Iraq, I guess this is the next best thing…the only thing better than ‘pwning a noob’ is if it’s an Al-Qaeda noob :D.
