Microsoft predicts that the Xbox 360 will have sold 10 million consoles by the time Sony’s PlayStation 3 launches. During the press conference yesterday, Bill Gates said that if the sales continue at this rate, they will surpass the 10 million mark by November. He also said that at next year’s E3, Xbox Live membership will doubble from 3 to 6 million registered users. Currently 57% of Xbox360 owners use Xbox Live.

Well PS3 is now launched! Where are Xbox360 sales? Ten Million? Twenty Million? No! Just over 7 Million. Very few sales in Japan, the 2nd largest single market next to the U.S.! Live Membership is stagnant and Xbox 360 remains the console with the worst Lemon and defective record in the history of gaming! So we have to wonder Bill, how many of those Xbox 360s are still running? A clue could be that in the Live membership numbers! At least to a degree, but I would say if the almost 30% Lemon rate is true, that only around 5 million units are still operable! That’s bad Bill!

The Xbox 360 is beating the PS3 and Wii in sales rates even when they first launched, that means that even know they are being bought as theyre made, teh Xbox 360 is still selling even more than they can make! take that PS3 fanbois! you will loose!

Yeah, these guys are just fanboys who choose to ignore the numbers. Microsoft shipped their 10 millionth 360 at the beginning of December. Xbox live users have passed 4 million. At $4.00/month, it’s still a bargain to get to play with anyone, on any game, at any time… 24/7. Have fun playing with those 100,000 PS3 owners.

PS3 just got pwned by Bill Gates. Sad.

  5. Monarky Says:

Talk about fanboys, Andrew K! That 10 million number isn’t even available on NextGenWars.com! So where did you get that? Out your A**! Easy to figure out about how many X360 are still running, by figuring adding into the equation of the percentage of X360 Core to Premium packages were sold. It stands now at 23% of Premiums. So approximately a million core units that can’t go Live without a hard drive. Yeah a memory card, but what a waste! So 5 million Xbox 360 are still running of all those heat monsters that died! The official installed base of X360’s stands at in the neigborhood of 5 1/2 to 6 million total. Not 10 million, not even the 8 million number shipped and wharehoused showing on NexGenWars.com ! So stick that in your pipe and smoke it, loser!

Good try not showing your bias Monarky. I really don’t care which console wins “the war”, as I have too much time occupying myself in the real world to be worried about who has the most tackles in Madden “07. I’m sure you’re the coolest kid on the school bus.

Capitalism… it’s a bitch, ain’t it. And Bill Gates is better at it than Sony. That’s just the hard truth - no matter which way you slice it.
