Microsoft has sided with Nintendo in the next-gen battle, and they are planning to win over Sony. Accorind to Microsoft, the PS3 is simply too expensive to compete.

“Tell me why you would buy a $600 PS3?” said Peter Moore in an interview.

“People are going to buy two (machines.) They’re going to buy an Xbox and they’re going to buy a Wii … for the price of one PS3.”

Microsoft said that they will have a comfortable lead by 10 million Xbox360 consoles sold by the time the PS3 is out. The cheap Wii will definelty appeal as a second console for many Xbox360 and PS3 users alike.
