To everyone’s surprise, Lance Barr, a Nintendo industrial designer, has revealed that the Wii’s controller will not be rechargeable, but instead use AA batteries because it would be cheaper to manufacture. There is also slim chances of a dock. He also says that the battery life will be significantly less than that of the Nintendo Wavebird, the official Gamecube wireless controller.
