
Merrill Lynch analyst Justin Post predicted that Nintendo’s Wii will cost around $200, a move that would attract 3rd party developers and publishers to create for the Wii. Because of the relatively low-end hardware, the console will be much cheaper to manufacture than the PlayStation 3 or the Xbox360. The low-end hardware is very similar to the GameCube, which makes it even easier to develop Wii games.
