SCEE boss David Reeves said yesterday in an interview with CVG Magazine that certain PS3 titles will not be ready for launch. Singstar will be released around Christmas 2006 while Eye Toy for PS3 will be avalible early 2007. Heavenly Sword, Formula One, and Motorstorm are also set for an early 2007 release. Reeves also said that Sony PlayStation has
“built up a certain brand equity over time since the launch of PlayStation in 1995 and PS2 in 2000 that the first five million are going to buy it, whatever it is, even it didn’t have games.”
Buy the console even if it didn’t have games? That’s pretty arrogant of Sony, I doubt consumers are as “blind” as they think.
[Thanks, Kim]
