I have usually loved journalism, regardless of the author’s opinions. But there are times when they have gone too far, and stated their opinion as a fact. There are ignorant journalists out there, which are more biased than others. I have come across completely outrageous articles in my past. But nothing comes close to this. Ever wonder why Nintendo hates Australia? Well, this might be it…

“And Sony isn’t the only company to introduce motion controls.”

This is infering that Sony had actually revealed the motion sensing before Nintendo. Maybe the author just slipped up a little?

Lo says the platform with the best-looking games will become the most popular, regardless of its features.

Really? I recall the Xbox, PC, and Gamecube all had much better graphics than the PS2 during this generation’s console wars. PS2 games generally looked worse than the competition.

“And she says the Wii will not necessarily compete directly with the PS3 and Xbox 360 for domination because it mainly attracts players aged eight to 15.”

I thought Nintendo had specifically stated that their goal for Wii was to attract gamers who have lost interest, people who have never tried games, and hardcore gamers. This includes females, children, teenagers, adults, and even senior citizens.

But the fight between the remaining two is likely to be more competitive than ever, she says, because Microsoft will have an eight-month lead on Sony in Australia, and even longer in America and Japan.

Remaining two? Are you telling me that Wii has absolutely no chance in the video game market place to the point of excluding them in the wars? Nintendo, one of the fathers of gaming, is now suddenly the Linux in video games, often ignored and not cared for? And Microsoft actually has a chance in Japan? I doubt this journalist has even looked at the sales in the East.
