New PC Game Cases

The IEMA, Interactive Entertainment Merchants Association, has created a standarized game box for PC games in the future, starting with Madden 07 from EA Games. This is done in order for consumers to clearly distinguish between PC and console games, and also so retailers can better manage their shelf space. Consumers will be able to store their PC games with Xbox360 games for instance, but that was always possible.
Do we really need new boxes? What’s wrong with the current ones? It’s pretty easy to distinguish PC games from console games and DVD movies for that matter.
