taj_majal_india.jpgMicrosoft plans to launch their next-get console in India later this year.

“Xbox360 will be available for consumers before the Diwali season. However, the pre-order of the product will start in June,” said Mitch Koch, Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Entertainment and Devices Division. He plans to introduce the Xbox360 to the 1.6 million dedicated gamers in India, before the competitors (PS3, Wii) do.

The Xbox360 Core system will retail for around 20,000 Rupees, US$440.
