Wii To Lack Dolby Digital Audio

When the Wii development documentation leaked a few days ago, one could notice that Dolby Digital is not supported by the Wii, only simple Stereo sound. We find that a bit surprising, since 5.1 setups are quite common today (and quite affordable as well). With modest hardware, Stereo sound and lack of HD, the Wii is looking to be very cheap, perhaps under US$200, as some analysts are predicting.
