O ya and directx 10 is only on pc, so is it ps3 or 360 based on my preferances?

Hey guys, i just returned my 360 because of overheating and other techniqual difficulties. I was thinking of getting another one, but have crossed my mind with the option of getting a ps3, i dont mean to brag, but cost is no factor for me. my only concern is that ps3 will not have halo 3, but i am willing to live with that, and that ps3’s blu-ray drive will be almost half as slow as xbox360 drive, meaning loads are almost twice as long. also, whats with all the hype of it being techniqually superior? 99% of ps3’s games will also be on x360, meaning they will have THE SAME GRAPHICS AND GAME QUALITY. game developers have admitted its too lengthly and costly to design games to use the cell processors full potential, so most games will be equivilant to thier 360 counterpart. Also, the 1080p resolution the higher end ps3 is capable of requires a tv in the price range of low class automobiles, which i think is absurd. Plus, even if you do have this tv, most games will be designed to max out at what 360 is capable of. But the only thing standing in my way from giving up on ps3 is that in the future game developers might take full advantage of the cell processor. My last point is that there both already considered techniqually inferior to pc’s, because some games will run on an engine that requires so much power that only microsofts new game support system, directx 10, can play these games. You will need a pc that runs windows vista, the new operating system availiable in 2007. So it basicly boils down to the question of will the ps3 use its full potential and leave the 360 in the dust, or was there no point in all this fancy new hardware and cost because game devolpers choose not to use its power?

that’s why I’ll wait until it releases..

It’s all about the games.. not about those technical stuff.. in other words.. PS3 got it all.

hey james these people just dont understand. lol btw did u know ps3 is commin out 360 days after xbox 360 coincidence? i think not. btw to the rest of u the way we can compare a system thats not out is the specs they have given us so far. incase u havent realized atm the specs they given us are double or nearly double in almost all categories over the xbox 360 and 15x better i think it is then nintendo wii. wii fanboy: BUT OMFG PS3 FANBOY WE WIITARDS HAVE A WIIMOTE OOOOOOOOOO FOR 1/5 THE PRICE WE CAN GET A SYSTEM WITH CARTOON GRAPHICS AND A WIIMOTE. also it wont have HD and in the year 2008 the FCC is changing television shows and movies all to Hd in the USA so all of u noobs out their who think wii will last forever lol. also our info on ps3 specs arent even done yet they could very well upgrade to a even better processor and everything lol. we are just going with the minimum they could have in the system being 2x as good as 360. incase u havent noticed the high end games u guys are comparing to ps3 are games that are already out ur comparing to early versions of games they showed like a year before the system like actually came out lol. and all xbox fanboys make the site comparison sites again ps3 in beggining stages vs the xbox 360 after half a year out on the market. not a fair comparison but they are still saying ps3 is the same or a bit better even for that meaning u guys cant even lie well cause the ps3’s power is so amazing u cant say its worse or u guys will look like complete idiots.

how can you compare the 360 and the ps3 when the ps3 isnt even out? i just preordered the ps3 and i know i could have bought 2 360’s and have them tomorrow but sony will always be more popular than microsoft as far as gaming is concerned

James. Just because some of us are not ready to invest half of our salaries into a gaming console doesnt make us poor. No. Were grownups, Students or just plain reasonable.
I got other expenses too ya know. Grownups have other expenses… easy for you to say “its only half of my monthly salary” your mom and dad feed, clothe and keep you clean.

I allso couldnt care less about how high tech PS3 is. PS2 was high tech too and after 6months it hardly played any games… heh. What I care about is quality and games. Graphics are good on all platforms these days. XboX, PS3 and PC all have good GFX.

I will wait for the price to go down before I am even thinking about getting myself a PS3. Thats it.

Personally, I myself am a Playstation fan over other consoles, but, I do own an x-box, which was bought purely to play Halo, which, at the time, was a very good looking game.
With the release of the 360, its clear to see that the 360 hasn’t really shown anyhting mindblowing as of yet. I think its because it was rushed to be released ahead of the PS3.
I pre-ordered my PS3 the other day, AUS$999, which i believe, its pretty good seeing as it could have easily been higher.
Personally I will not be getting a 360, and have never been strongly into nintendo. But once PS3 is released, and both consoles have been given time to tweak, they should both produce some rediculously good games.

James, I completely agree with you on that one! Online gaming is definately better on the PC, that can’t be denied.

And for my OPINION about this xBox/PS thing, I have never and will never by an xBox! That being said, I will also never buy the PS3 either

No but seriously if I was interested in online games id only play them on the PC, its just too fiddly to control online games on a console. Isnt there a way of playing xbox halo against PC halo? I think the winner is already determined in that scenario before you even start :p
