Recently we reported that a container with $2.3 million worth of DS Lite hardware was stolen in Hong Kong. Nintendo has confirmed that, saying that

“A number of White DS Lite made for the UK market were stolen in Hong Kong.”

“Nintendo is making every effort to ensure that there is enough product available in the UK to meet market demand at launch.”

The DS Lite launches June 23 in Europe, and Nintendo expects the demand to be high, the DS Lite sold 135,000 units in two days in the US, and over 295,000 in one week in Japan.
