Super Mario 64 On Wii

I dunno how this didn’t get our attention at E3, but there was a playable Wii version of Super Mario 64, played using the Wii retro controller. It also shows that the game is actually played on a Wii console, and not a GameCube as some other games were, namely Zelda: Twilight Princess.

“It also shows that the game is actually played on a Wii console, and not a GameCube as some other games were, namely Zelda: Twilight Princess”
Incorrect.
Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess was running on a Wii devkit.
Only games running on Gamecube(s) were Gamecube games like Super Paper Mario.
Wii games were running on Wii devkits (which have Gamecube shaped casings).
Wii games don’t function on Gamecube.
Hope that clears up your confusion.

Actually zelda WAS run on a modified gamecube, the only parts that weren’t in the real GC were the motion sensing controllers. Nintendo has confirmed that.

Awesome. I just like when they’re looking at the mystery slots on the back of the controller and you here the guy say, “Duh duh dun!”
