Arab Refuses To Play Against Israeli

It had to happen. It happens in sports all the time. Political tension (or Israeli oppression in this case) makes it difficult to compete for certain countries. A Saudi Arabian gamer, Badr Hakeem, refuses to play against his Israeli opponent in this year’s Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC), a title he won last year. He says he will not be defending his title because of the situation in the middle east.

“Unfortunately, the draw put me against an Israeli player and due to our stand against the Israeli aggression and occupation of Palestine, I raised my voice and said there was no way I was going to play against this guy.
