Nintendo of Korea
July 4th, 2006 by Gibran Nawaz in Business
Nintendo has announced that they will be opening a wholly owned subsidiary of Nintendo Co. Ltd. in Seoul, South Korea. It will open July 7th, and start manufacturing Korean language games for the Nintendo DS system. It will be run by Mineo Kouda, the new face of Nintendo of Korea. The reason Nintendo is doing this is that there are no real Korean language games from Nintendo, thus leading to low sales. Korea has the world’s largest gaming community and therefore hold great potential for Nintendo and its upcoming Wii console.
