A new book called “Got Game: How the Gamer Generation Is Reshaping Business Forever” (available at Amazon) focuses on how videogamers affect the business. They compare people who grew up playing games and people who didn’t. They found out that gamers are indeed very different and more effective on the job than non-gamers, because “Gamers believe that winning matters - wanting to be an expert in the first place”, thus competing better on the job as well. It’s not totally new for us hardcore gamers, but it’s good to know that the mainstream doesn’t compare gaming as a “waste of time” as much as they did before.
