Gears of War Release Date?

Microsoft has said there is “no specific release date set” for Gears of War, but on the official Xbox.com GoW page, the date is set to October 2.

The release date matches some online retailers release dates as well, EBGames and GameStop shows the same 10/2 2006 date, so it’s very possible that the date is correct, and only a matter of time before Microsoft makes an official announcement.

During E3, lead designer CliffyB promised the game will ship this Fall to none other than Bill Gates, looks like he’ll keep his word.
