Microsoft’s Game Technology Group is looking for official software testers for their upcoming projects. Preferably under the age of 18, particularly 6-12. Testers will be asked to play games and report any bugs or issues found in the game. If you are under 18, you do need parental consent. This seems like a good opportunity to not only help game developers, but play the latest upcoming games before anyone else, and brag about it. You can sign up here.

2What about joining my mod team for UT2K7 once it gets going … all the details about my past experience can be found on one of the more recent threads around here … It’s the one that talks about in game advertising by Valve. If you are interested after checking out what we did with HaloUT then contact me via pm and I will do my best to help you get your foot in the door. I do know a few things by now.

11Hey!
Ok, I’ve really been looking into game testing. I’ve read its not all fun and games but what job is right? This has got to be better then working at a fast food place. As for gaming, I have done it for pretty much my whole life and i love it. I play a very wide range of games and pretty much love them all. I really looking for a chance to get my foot in the door for game related stuff. It’d make my life if i got this fantastic job!!

I have played these type games from the early 70’s till now. I have also some concpets on such style games as a design. If any company still designs good stragedy games and would like someone with more than 30 years of history with this style design. I am currently looking for some new direction in life than working still in the construction field.
Back ground in the following game systems both board and pc.

sid meyers games styles
many microsoft products aoe 1 2 3

29ok, I’m 13 and I think video games are the most awesome and fun activity.
It is my life-long dream to play video games and get paid for it!
No one else would reply or anything I know there is different about this site.
I don’t need a small fortune a day, as long as I’m getting paid to do what I love the most (and help the co. with bugs, glitches, etc.) I’ll be extremely grateful.
Please, this is my dream and what I was made to do.

30I am 18 and i turn 19 in April. For the past 8 years i have thought it would be the greatest thing to get into the gaming industry. I have been playing video games since mario came out on the NES. Ever since then I was hooked on video games. I have been thinking well maybe i should test games for a while as my job since I really dont want to do any thing else. I see video games as my future. I have a creative mind and a outstanding imagination, or thats what i have herd. I just have one problem I dont know where to start in this kind of carreer. I realy need a job though so I can save up for schooling to make the charecters for games since thats what I realy want to do I want to put my imagination and my art ability togeather and do something that will blow peoples minds away. So can someone help me out and tell me how or where to get started?

42Hi there, my name is Andrew and I am 20 years old. I know I’m older than what your looking for but games are a very passionate hobby of mine and I would love to make something of it. I game on my 360 every chance I get, I have extremely good communication skills and I know what it will take to find glitches in any game I may have to work on, I am also aware that this job could be very monotonousness at times and I know that I will be able to focus on the matter at hand and get the job done. I have no experience in the field but I’m really looking for someone to give me a chance to get some experience. Hope that this little paragraph among many can catch the right eye to read. Thanks again, Andrew

46Hello, I’m a 20 year old male, also looking for the chance to become a Game Tester. I’ve been looking for work for the past 2 year, so now I have decided to look online for anything and everything. As far as games go, I’ve had experience in located glitches, and I have played nearly every gaming system, which ranges from the Commador 64 up to the new generation of the PS3, Wii, and Xbox360. I was pretty much born with a controller in my hands. Even at age 3, I was able to finish the game, Final Fantasy II for the SNES in America in under 9 hours. I feel as though I would be worth being a true tester, and I won’t let you down. I’ll be looking for any sort of a reply. Until then, Have a good day.

47I cant help but be skeptical on these “looking for game tester” advertisements. How ever my old manager was one, though he said it kind of sucks, I would still like to do it, if anything for a couple years, get my foot in the door. I am 22 years of age, I have alot of exp. in the gaming. I have worked with various modding communities. I know testers dont get payed the greatest but they do get enough to get by. I can relocate and have alot of skill, give me a try as a game tester and hopefully someday more, contact me!

48Hi I’m Scott I have also been playing games since day one. I figure i would be a great choice for testing do to the fact I do nothing but play video games and constantly see glitches and or problems with games I play. Also hey if I had the chance to help improve some of the greatest games of all time pretty sure that would be the greatest dream of any gamer seeing as we always look for the missing parts of a game that would make it better.

49WTF….not to sound mean or too angry but really, WTF! I have tried over 10 times to sign up for a job in game testing here and it will not let me. Owner of this website, “UPDATE YOUR DAMN WEBSITE”. I’ve been dreaming for the day to test games and get paid and I can’t because of an error on your website. I sent a E-Mail to the admin, even though I used my mothers E-mail to send it, and i don’t see anyone fixing this damn problem….I have never been more pissed at the great Microsoft ever, please fix the problem and E-mail me so I can sign up. My E-mail is MeanGreenKaos@aol.com and I used NanaEspo40’s E-mail to send the complaint, or plea, for some help. Send me a E-amil when your problem is fixed please.
