August 1st, 2006 by Kevin Cortez in Business
According to the Honolulu Star Bulletin, Japanese company Konami will be closing one of their development studios. The studio, located in Waikiki, Hawaii, will close down by the end of this year. Over 40 jobs will be lost.
There is no official statement why Konami closed their studios down. The Honolulu Star Bulletin could only report the following:
“In the late fall of this year, Konami will be closing its Honolulu, Hawaii, office in order to streamline operations. We regret that this necessary business decision will affect approximately 40 employees. Where it is possible, Konami has been providing and will continue providing positions to these employees at other locations within the company.
