Golden Joystick Award Nominations

Nominations for the British Golden Joystick Awards 2006, organized by UK game magazine and website publisher Future Publishing, have been announced.
The shortlist was created by online votes from gamers. The votes went to games that came out between August 1st 2005 and July 31st 2006.
The awards are separated into 16 categories, with Mario Kart DS being nominated for 6 separate awards.
The Ultimate Game of the Year award nominations include the following titles: 50 Cent: Bulletproof, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Call of Duty 2, Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Special Edition, Guitar Hero, Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episode One, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Hitman: Blood Money, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend, Mario Kart DS, Metroid Prime: Hunters, New Super Mario Bros., Pro Evolution Soccer 5, Project Gotham Racing 3, Resident Evil 4, Shadow of the Colossus and The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
The awards will take place October 27th at the Park Lane Hilton in London. Gamers can vote here.
