ps3The Guardian reports about the status of the PlayStation 3 platform, including a short interview with company president Phil Harrison. Despite all the bad PR Sony has had lately, along with the hardware problems, Harrison says that over 100 title are in development at the moment.

“We have shown more playable games than ever before, so the signs are good, and right now there are more than 100 Blu-ray movies available today, in the US. More than 100 games are in development, and all the major third-party publishers have pledged their strategic support for the platform.”

A week ago, we reported that Sony has shipped over 10.000 dev kits to 3rd party developers, which pretty much explains the high amount of game is development. Harrison also mentioned that the PS3 hardware is complete, and that developers have the final console hardware in their hands.
