A smart chap has coded an application allowing a GameCube title, the Japanese version of Zelda: Wind Waker, to run on the PSP. Not perfectly, of course, since it has no sound, is laggy, and for some reason all buttons are being pressed down at the same time.
Still, the proof that it can be done may inspire others into making a fully playable GameCube emulator on the PSP. There’s already a working N64 emulator for the handheld, with some 250 games available.

I say it’s a video on a custom FW.
See how the game starts with no command and ends abruptly?
I’m not a cetic, I believe GC and Wii emulators can be done for PSP, but the controls would suck.

The PSP isn’t that powerful to run a G7 console emulator, but it is powerful. The Nintendo consoles that are too wiiak
But I believe the PSP can run any G6 console emulator without major problems. The only problem is in coding the emulator and defining the controls, for a GC(or N64) emulator, you need to make some changes to make the controls work:
D-pad: C buttons
Analog – Analog/D-pad
Select/a symbol button – Z
2 of the symbol buttons – A and B
L – L
R – R
Start – Start
See? Games that require analog, D-pad AND C buttons won’t work.
I bet a snot ball that in the next months(may be years) we’ll be playing G6 emulators in the latest FW. Hackers and crackers may be hated by many, but they work as hard as the people who make the consoles.
