No Casino Royale Videogame
August 8th, 2006 Posted in Action, Nintendo DS, PC, PSP, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox 360

When the next Bond movie “Casino Royale” is released this holiday season, there will be no corresponding videogame release cashing in on 007. Not this time, according to publisher Activision. They have the rights to 007 games, and plan to skip the whole Casino Royale thing, shifting focus on the Bond flick after that, the 22nd movie, scheduled for release May 2, 2008.
You can’t blame Activision, I’ve seen the Casino Royale trailer, and it was disappointing, to say the least. And that guy doesn’t even look like a “real” Bond…

WHAT DOES A BOND LOOK LIKE? Is he gonna be as dumb and retard looking as Roger Moore before people are satisfied? Or is he gonna act like a stone, I mean, Timothy Dalton? How do one look like James Bond? There have been 5 actors to play Bond, now counting 6. None of them have whatsoever looked just a tiny bit as the other. Thank God. Pierce Brosnan has been a great Bond. But back in 1995, people cried and moaned and said that he was not the real Bond, and that he didn’t looked and behaved enough like Sean Connery, and etc. I thank God everyday, that all actors playing Bond since Connery, have had better acting skills. Have you seen the old Bond movies. It’s like starwars fans blaiming the new starwars movies for bad acting. Oh yeah, like Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher was soooooo good actors. There is no way Hayden Christensen and Ewan McGrogor is doing a better job. And it’s the same with Bond. Those of you having seen Munich might discover that Daniel Craig is a really, REALLY, good actor. Give the man a chance. At least wait till after the movie has premiered to critizise

Craig has proven to be in the (Roger, Sean) category of bond actors… Movie was done very well!

Daniel Craig is the best Bond, period. Sean Connery is a great actor, and he did the best that he could with the shit scripts that were written for him, but nonetheless Craig portays the rough diamond that Bond was in his early days. I, too, was a naysayer that had been hoping for Clive Owen to be the next Bond. No more. I’m looking forward to Bond 22 and seeing Craig play Bond for years to come.
Best Bond since Thunderball.

No one will ever be Bond like Sean Connery was but this guy did a good job I will say that. Still I would have liked to see Clive Owen … he just seems to fit the Bond mold more imho. Anyway this movie was not bad at all and I liked how ruthless this Bond was … he was even more deadly than Connery and that is saying something.

Given CR ranks in top 50 movies of all-time (worldwide sales figures). I suspect that those partners not on board will rue the day they let the most successful Bond film (and therefore actor)go.
Doesn’t look like Bond – sadly ost disagreed with you – especially the large number of females that turned up to the movie in droves.
