Who would have guessed that, another analyst speaking up, giving their take on who’s going to win the next-gen console wars. Usually their guess is no better than anyone else’s. The Yankee Group, a Boston-based research firm says the PS3 will have 44% of the market share by 2011, followed by the Xbox360 with 40%, and at last the Wii, with a wii-bit 16%.
Of course, analysts also predicted that the PSP would totally kill the DS in the handheld section two years ago. We all know how that situation looks today.

2And what do they base their 5 years prediction on? Reflections from E3 2006? Must be it. Those analysts really are worth all their money

3Sony to have 44% of the market by 2011?? Maybe. Because it damn sure isn’t happening THIS year!
