Ubisoft Reveals DS/PSP Star Wars Game

star wars logoUbisoft has issued a press release, revealing their upcoming handheld PSP and DS game Star Wars: Lethal Alliance. It’s an action adventure game taking place between Episode 3 and Episode 4, where you take the role of Twi’lek Rianna Saren and her security droid Zee, searching for the Empire’s new weapon, the Death Star. Ubisoft CCO Serge Hascoet says:

“Ubisoft is honored to announce this exciting and innovative Star Wars game, the first original game in the legendary franchise built to take full advantage of the unique capabilities of both the PSP system and the DS,”

“We have worked closely with LucasArts to create a game that further develops the Star Wars universe, and unveils some of the mysteries that have kept millions of fans enthralled for decades.”

You’ll be able to explore several new planets never seen in the movies, Despayre, Danuta, and Alderaan. The more commonly known locations will also be available, like Coruscant, Mos Eisley, and the Death Star. The game will be out on the PSP and the DS. There is no info on how it will use they DS two-screen functionality, or the touchscreen. A multiplyer element is confirmed on both systems.
