The MMO that sparked the entire “MMO” thing in the first place, Ultima Online, is getting upgraded for its 10th aniversary. The upgrade will include a compeltely re-built client with new graphics (they probably should have added that years ago) and a new, more user friendly interface.
The upgrade is “in place”, meaning that you won’t lose your characters or items. While the game is getting upgraded with better graphics, the developers insist that there will still be the same “extremely low” system specs, far lower than almost all other MMORPGs on the market today.
The new update will happen in 2007, with more surprises coming later on.
