Halo 3In the latest weekly update from Bungie, the developers say they have been playing thought the Halo 3 campaign mode “purely for kicks”. Their comments about it:

“There’s lots of the feel of the original Halo, where you’ll find yourself in a huge and intrinsically fascinating environment and just want to go tool around and check things out.”

If you remember the original game, you’d know exactly what they’re talking about here. The fights in Halo 3 are mentioned as well, and that you’ll be able to explore the levels more than the previous two games.

“At this stage in development, the encounters are very carefully placed. Sometimes that means you’re in frantic fire fights (on a significantly bigger scale than in Halo 2, although all I will confirm numerically is at least one more Grunt.) but there’s also time for exploratory reflection and the, ‘Oooh, maybe I can climb up there and check that thing out,’ sort of play.”

It seems that the development is ging well, the singleplayer part is almost done and they are testing the multiplayer all the time. The game is scheduled for release sometime in 2007.
