Dead Rising Breaks US Sales Records

Capcom’s zombie masher Dead Rising has sold over 500,000 copies in two weeks, making it the fastest selling Xbox360 game to date. Charles Bellfield, VP of marketing at Capcom says,
“Response to Dead Rising from the trade, press and consumers has been tremendous. The success of the game is a result of Capcom’s recognition of Xbox 360 system’s possibilities and starting development early on in order to deliver such a high-quality game.”
Dead Rising will be released in Europe this Friday, and sales are expected to be just high as across the Atlantic. So far, reviews of the game have been fairly good, average score is 85/100 on Metacritic, the 9th highest rated Xbox360 game.
