How To Improve Dead Rising 2
September 4th, 2006 by Darren Stevens in News
Capcom’s Dead Rising has become the fastest selling Xbox360 game to date, and quite unsurprisingly, there are already talks about making a sequel. But what sort of improvements would Dead Rising 2 need? Aeropause points out a few things, like the obvious HDTV fix and lack of multiplayer support.

online co-op / city instead of mall / zombie mode / more wepons (like guns) / ‘make your own save haven (like make your own baracade mode ingame) ect
September 18th, 2006 at 2:09 am
Co-op would be nice on both online and offline. It would bring more of a willing to survive. One gets in trouble the other has to go back to help him out. Also they could do different things. One could rescue one group of people while the other rescues others. I think making the co-op experience different online than normal would be good. Larger in game community like a city instead of mall. Also variuos modes. Like Barricade mode. How many zombie movies have we seen with survivors barricading themselves in. In this mode you would have to make a barricade with other online friends and keep waves and waves of zombies out until help arrives. More guns would make this game better or at least ammo for the guns.

A city or town with full enviornment, being able to have multiple safe areas and save anywhere in them like make your own safe area type thing. Be able to bust down doors. in games its always you need this key to open teh door but come on, its a freaken wooden door. Your telling me i can blow apart zombies and wooden barrels ect but i cant bust down this stupid door that ill only enter once? no weap breaks. A steel pipe should not break after 7 or so hits, its a pipe! it wouldnt disapear! neither would the bodies, and enough with the re4 style story with the insects infecting. Stick to the resident evil 1-3 type and keep it a chemical spill would ya? A coop story mode or single story mode would be hella sweet as i dont have online. Maybe a Create your character or something. Damage stays with you and you have to fix it yourself like in metal gear 3 snake eater only more detailed. Better inventory system like the one alone in the darks screenshot has. Id like to see where im keeping my items cause frankly i dont see where i hid those gallons of orange juice and coffee creamer heh heh, add crouching and better jumps. BETTER HAND TO HAND at least dr had it re4 barely had some. But better hand to hand would be nice. Hows about really utalizeing the enviornment cause i saw alot of stuff that was there that i couldnt use, the gun store had tons of shotguns yet i only found 3. what the heck!!!! Hows about being able to take a cart full of weap back to a safe area, and being able to have the survivors actually follow you, cough aaron cough and have them get into a car with you so they dont get run over by convicts that youve killed over 3 times already, I dontlike the idea that i shot and killed the convicts outside and they kept re spawning, no way, they are deader than hell!!! better gore maybe i mean heck yeah it was gory but not enough for me!!!! heheh!!!!being able to light em on fire!!!!! damage to surroundings stays instead of disapearing. being able to bust through areas that are barracaded ie the shops with the metal grates. with a few hammer swings they should have been gone! more more more weapons!!!!!!!

On the singleplayer there should be less escort missions. The A.I could be better.
I think you should have the city not just the mall but you would have the ability to enter buildings including mall.
I also think it should be released on Pc as well as the next-gen consoles.
I think you should be able to create your own character.
You should also have more than three ingame days to play.(More playing time.
You should also have to build a barricade in a few missions and the better it is the easier it is to to defend the building you are in.
I have never played this game cause I’m a PC gamer but i have said my part.

Im a Huge fan of Zombies and Horror movies. So you tell me theres a game comin out where youre trapped in a mall with a Gillion of youre Zombie friends… who do I have to kill. So I bought a 360 and Dead Rising… “Best Game EVER!!!” Though the game had alot of Badassness to it i was kinda let down by How the game lacked some of the Above comments, No multi player either off or online, No “out of the Mall” Experiance, Anything was a weapon but not Everything was a weapon, Character select and/or Creation. I would of loved to seen a 100% compleation game, “I am Carlito” mode where you play either him in the mall or him in the Mexican City where all the… I cant just tell what happens now X).
Maybe an online mode , “The City that never Dies” Where players connect to a server (~128 max per server) and you must Kill all Zombies, Find the cure, Help the survivors, Create bace camps, and get out alive. you know just a thought.
I got more but its kinda late and I got to get some Sleep

I think it would be nice is there was a character creation, in a bigger area use more vehicles, barricading yourself, some weapons don’t break be able to use two weapons at same time depending on size, a lot of safe areas, not necessarily less rescue but help them some. Not the whole time also smarter AI. No more three day mess, Let it keep going, also a good and bad side. Say you have a choice to help or watch them die, Also you can access any area in the game nothing is off limits. Rag doll effect highly needed when blowing them to hell. Dismemberment more easy to do. Rpg base like actually having to work out to get stronger or using a weapon alot more makes you better at it. I mean your a photographer your not suppose to be grade A zombie killing machine. Give more of a back story to the character you play as. If in city even animals are transformed. There are many different modes so you never get bored. Online play coop mode. Not split screen crap…Also IT would be nice if when you saved people you got bonus things or anything of that nature.. In other words make it as realistic as possible hell even if the character has to piss let him hahah…anyway it was a great game but there is always room for improvement its not like movies are scarring us anymore make a game that makes us feel like were in it and like were the character….Would also be nice if you could add in some more gore scenes and give it that nice creepy zombie touch….come on watch some george A Romero movies and fall in love with the work
January 4th, 2007 at 12:49 am
I think that melee weapons shouldn’t run out and it would be cool if the pcycos were just roaming around the area instead of one spot where you meet them so you don’t have to kill them right away and you should be able to counter the first attack when zombies grab you, it shouldn’t take a health block instantly
January 4th, 2007 at 11:47 pm
I think that you should make the seting in a city(instead of a mall. but you still can go in the mall. also you should be able to go in any building or store you see. Also if your biten you should have a time to get antidote or you become a felsh eater.
More freaking guns! Also barricade mode kickass! also an online feature that lets you go into a city were the people are still alive. and you have a time limt to find all the things you need and get things for a barricade.and when the timelimt runs out it turn in to a ciematic and you watch all of the people die. also you can do guest of online so its two player online. trow in a verus mode where some people are zombies that can run and controls the ai zombies. and anouter team is humans triing to save their own ass.
January 6th, 2007 at 8:18 pm
Co-op is a must be, more guns, and combined weapons like a propane tank and a hose to make a flamethrower.I say keep the mall, but have more zombies. The bosses could be able to be killed by zombies. The molotov cocktail should set the zombies on fire. barricadeing your self will be fun.Character Creation is good idea and online play should be like half a teem in a gun store and the other half in hardware, and you need to get together in one store that is like home base and have amost people go out and kill the zombies and try to bring back survivors.
January 7th, 2007 at 12:15 pm
Dead risng one was a real good game and i think there should only be a few improvements. obiouvsly the next game is gonna be in the city so thats one good thing. i agree with what justin said co op. i also think there should be more guns and ammo for them. in every zombie movie the survivers struggle with ammo and guns so i think you should be able to reload and find ammo. this may sound stupid but for online co op mode i think you should be able to be the special forces on some type of team deathmatch. survivers versus the special forces whatever will work i just think the special forces dudes are awesome looking. and character creation would be nice. with the online co op it should be the whole city split up in worlds. like 50 people to one world and take out the 53,000 residents in colorodo. make each world a storyline that continues until all the zombies are dead or untill someone comes up with a plan to wipe them out now that would be rad.
January 7th, 2007 at 11:59 pm
create your own character in a city where you have an accomplice sort of like shaun of the deaddrive cars, everything and i mean everything is a weapon,2 player mode, different game modes you play as a zombie etc, everything you do affects the end of the game,so realistic you’ll feel it was you in the game,if you die you dont have to start the game all over again, less saving people more killing and you can choose where you start so you all end different thus wanting to play over and over again ADD THESE PLZZ
January 8th, 2007 at 11:38 pm
Same what everyone else says and if any one is intrested BASE IT OFF OF Max Brook’s Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z!
January 9th, 2007 at 1:40 am
See … as I said on another related DR thread there are tons of ways to make this game better and plenty of room for improvement even if people are saying the first one was great (which I don’t agree with … it was a really solid and good Zombie game but not great imho). Now if they really listen to people and add some of these things people are asking for the next one will probably be the greatest Zombie game ever. Of course that is a big if.
January 9th, 2007 at 10:15 pm
I agree with most of what has been said here. Online play, Co-op, more guns/ammo pickups, etc. are all great ideas. As well as the saving part. The AI could use some work as well, especially the survivors, seriously, if you’re trapped in a mall full of zombies and a guy comes to save you, are you going to screw around and watch him kill zombies and wait for him to tell you where to go? NO! You’re going to kick some zombie tooshie of your own! So yeah, improved AI would be nice. Next, someone said about something about how they wanted a chemical spill to be blamed instead of insects, its a bit late for that now, the plot has been established. Also, (just throwing this out there) a cool idea for a psychopath would be some crazy amblulance driver with a defibulator (however you spell that… one of those things with the two paddles that they shock you with to revive you…) Also, if this is to take place in an open environment, you’ll need more vehicles, aircraft and watercraft are kinda stupid considering you’d just be able to avoid all of the zombies but if you can think of vehicles that would make sense, throw them in there! Ideas for online could include something like Man vs. Zombie in which a team of humans tries to either escape from or kill a team of zombies, perhaps two different game modes… lol
Anywho, this game has the potential to be manly if Capcom does decide to create DR2 and even better if they listen to suggestions from people like us! Im happy as long as there is a DR2 period!
January 10th, 2007 at 1:06 am
anuben i didnt say it was the best game ever. im saying it is definatly the best zombie game. you have to admit that there isnt many zombie games that you can eat, make barricades, drive and use anything as a weapon. dont even say resident evil cause compared to this game resident evil is just a piece of waste.
January 10th, 2007 at 1:21 am
Okay maybe it is the best pure Zombie game but really how many Zombie only games are there. You can’t even count Lad of the Dead and mods for UT2K4. So yeah it is the best pure Zombie game but there is still room for improvement and believe me I am looking forward to DR2 a great deal because I know it will be improved in many ways and I expect the things that did work in DR to still find there way into DR2 so yes the game should be extremely good.
January 10th, 2007 at 8:41 am
check this out … some REAL competition is coming and they were obviously listening to some of the suggestion people made about Dead Rising … so now DR2 is really going to have to up the ante if that franchise wants to remain the best Zombie game:
An excerpt from Gamespot:
“You might not think about team-based online multiplayer going hand-in-hand with “survival horror” games–games like the Resident Evil series that give you only limited resources while pitting you against legions of horrible monsters, often in cramped confines. After all, classic survival horror games are usually single-player experiences because they’re about your character being all alone in a hostile, zombie-filled world. But Turtle Rock Studios, a developer with credits that include Counter-Strike: Condition Zero and the Xbox version of Counter-Strike, is doing just that with Left 4 Dead. This new team-based game for the PC and Xbox 360 pits small teams of humans against “the infected,” which are hordes of ordinary people transformed into mindless killing machines by a mysterious virus that has spread throughout the game’s various environments. We sat down with Turtle Rock’s Michael Booth to get the first details.
GameSpot: What exactly is Left 4 Dead? We understand that it has survival horror elements, but what else is there to the game? How would you describe it?
Michael Booth: Left 4 Dead is a cooperative survivor horror game where four survivors must work together to escape a city teeming with an overwhelming number of the infected. If you work together, you have a chance. If you run off on your own, you will die.
GS: What’s the setting? Is it contemporary America, in the vein of something like Dead Rising? Or is this a postapocalyptic future we’re talking about? What sort of environments will we see?
MB: Left 4 Dead is set contemporary America. Although we’ve pushed the fiction a bit for the sake of gameplay (such as including the “boss infected”), the basic idea of a catastrophic pandemic and the collapse of civilization makes for great survival horror because it is quite plausible. We wanted our environments to remind you of home–but a horribly changed and tortured version of home.
The initial four campaigns of Left 4 Dead include both urban areas and rural areas, with lots of dense architecture and challenging landscapes. Each campaign also ends with an elaborate “finale” where the survivors must make a stand while waiting for a rescue vehicle to arrive and take them to apparent safety.
GS: Who’s who in the game? Who are the main characters, what are they trying to do, and what exactly are the infected?
MB: The four survivors include Bill, a Vietnam veteran with combat skills that have helped keep him alive; Louis, an assistant manager at a local retail electronics chain store; Zoey, the teenage daughter of a wealthy family; and Francis, who is big, loud, and rough, but always has your back.
Imagine that you live in a major city during a time when a new and highly virulent strain of the rabies virus emerges and begins spreading rapidly among the human population. Those infected become dangerously psychotic and attack all noninfected on sight. You are one of the lucky few who seem to be immune to the virus, but are trapped in a city teeming with thousands of extremely violent infected. Banding together with a few other survivors, you try to escape.
GS: It seems safe to say that Left 4 Dead is a class-based game, considering Turtle Rock’s previous work on Counter-Strike: Source, and judging from the early graphic showing the four heroes, each carrying a different type of weapon. What are the classes in the game, and how do they complement one another?
MB: From the survivor standpoint, Left 4 Dead is a cooperative game in which success is based upon the skills of each member and the team’s ability to work together as a unit. As such, the four survivors have the same weaponry available to them and begin with the same skills.
On the infected side, however, the characters available to human players (the boomer, smoker, hunter, and tank) have very specific skills … ”
Now this game sounds like it could be very very HOT! It is definitely something we Zombie fans should keep our eyes on.

I posted some info but is awaiting moderation … here is part of that info on a new game that will definitely force DR2 to be much more than DR was and that is a good thing. We will see if DR will still be thought of as the best Zombie game ever or if DR2 will need to recapture that crown:

somone tell me y co-op would be good caz im lost really lost because its not a co-op kind of game i mean that
January 10th, 2007 at 9:05 pm
It would be cool to take out hordes of Zombies with your friends or at least have that option … like the game I posted about above. If Left 4 Dead is going to have it then I really think DR2 needs to stay competitive and at least offer it as an option in the same way Gears allows people to jump in and out really quickly for some cool co-op fun.
January 11th, 2007 at 3:57 pm
dr2 should be set in a small town.kinda like night of the living dead where online gamers can plot in old farmhouses and barricade windows ect ect, havin to venture into town to raid shops for supplies ect ect. gotta include a graveyard! and must be online
January 11th, 2007 at 6:09 pm
What if online you can choose to be either a human or a zombie?
Humans have to try to cure the zombies, save the town, set up barricades. But if they get bitten or scratched they can become a zombie.
The zombies try to infect the humans but can be cured to go the human side. To make it difficult, if you blow up the brains of a zombie it spreads the disease so surrounding humans could become infected, or say you could get super zombies, which can’t be cured.
I think it would just add a crazy twist and it would be a continuous battle. There would be something telling you how many humans and zombies (and super zombies) there are, so say you need a certain amount of zombies to do a group action, and a certain humans to do a group action like others were talking about.
Also if this were to come out on PC, the ability to play with players on the 360 would be great, like they plan to do with Halo@?
January 13th, 2007 at 4:44 am
heres my ideas
1. isabella from the first one should be in it as a co op player
2.there should diffrent groups of survivers sort of like the cult dudes in the first one but mark them as survivers
3. have food and wepons run out not have them respawn after leaveing the area so it has a more surviver thing to it
4. they should have frank as a side charicter allowing you to make a player a witness the zombie atack first hand
January 13th, 2007 at 4:38 pm
I know, I know, I know what they can do with it! FORGET ABOUT IT! It’s a worthless game without any positive merits whatsoever. I say make it so you all can turn the Chainsaw on yourselves! That would get rid of many wasted chunks of worthless flesh!
After about the 1000th zombie killed they’re all the same anyway. There’s only so many ways you can kill a zombie, which is a misnomer in the first place! Too many of these stupid games that belong back in the freaking fifties!
But when you only have 3 or 4 good games on a console and only one killer ap exclusive, I guess your left with slim pickings!
What a freaking waste of time! LOL
Even X360 has better playing games than this. Bio Shock will be a million times better and maybe even another ap so you’ll have two! heehee
January 14th, 2007 at 4:48 pm
One problem with non-respawning items, if they were to do that they’d have to jack up the number of hits, BIG TIME! Although, they should do that anyway, a freaking lead pipe isn’t going to break after just a few hits, come to think of it, it probably wouldn’t break at all considering you’re only beating decaying bags of bones. I guess they couldn’t really make it completely realistic because you could pretty much just have one or two lead pipes, some food, Adam’s Chainsaws and the book powerups and you’d be able to finish the game with relative ease. Next, to respond to the previous post. This guy is obviously some Nintendo or Sony fanboy who can’t accept the manliness of the Xbox 360. Dead Rising may be part of a genre that has been done before but it’s innovative in many ways, 90% of the people I talk to love Dead Rising and would LOVE to see a sequel. Although he does make a point concerning the lack of quality games for 360. He exaggerated a bit though, given his biased opinion of Dead Rising, he didn’t include that in the greatest 360 games. Yes, there’s Gears of War, a truly manly game. And then there’s 2006 Game of the Year, Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. Yeah, maybe Oblivion isn’t going to be exclusive for much longer, but it had to be great on PC and 360 for a PS3 adaptation. You may be able to add Cold Planet to this list too, it just came out so I haven’t had a chance to play it yet. That said, I have to say it would be nice to have some more quality titles though… Anywho, just to make a point, unless I’m completely wrong and this guy isn’t a gamer at all he must be a PS3 or Wii fanboy. Sooo, those game library’s suck just as much if not more! PS3’s greatest games: Resistance. Everything else has been done before! Wii’s greatest games: WHO CARES ABOUT THE WII?! It’s going to lose it’s novelty and everyone will be rushing out to trade it in while it still has some value and hope that they can get some money to put towards a PS3 or Xbox 360! Unless you already have one of those and a Wii, I guess its a good supporting system to a more powerful one. The way I see it, Twilight Princess is the only thing the Wii has going for it.
All that said, BRING ON DEAD RISING 2!!!! WOOT!
January 14th, 2007 at 5:09 pm
My favroite weapon was putting the frying pan on the stove and holding it to their faces.
That I can understand breaking, like the handle, or getting cold, but not lead pipes, a chainsaw or the katana. The guns I do understand because if you run out of ammo you can just hit them with it and then it loses durability, but it also makes more sense to just switch to an actual melee weapon until you get more ammo.
Like someone else said it should be longer, not just 3 days, but not so long that killing all the zombies and trying to complete goals becomes tedious. It should be easy to jump into and hard to get away from with constant action and something to do, that’s what makes it great.
As for the poster above Arrandi, the best way to deal with it is just ignore those types of meaningless posts.

January 16th, 2007 at 1:40 pm
I think Coop multiplayer should have the option of playing the sp dead rising missions together with 2 or more people or play a new set of coop missions, but still in the mall.
For balance, the zombies are like night ones during the day: and at night they should be harder than the night ones in sp. Same goes with bosses, harder. Or I can see it right now, your friend and yourself, going through the mall bashing zombies over the head would take like 2 seconds.
You should be able to choose who you are, Id say Frank, Brad, and maybe the other main people or maybe even to choose from survivors and Phychopaths.
What would be a nice feature for coop is if lets say you and your friend playing together could do wicked moves which requires both of you to use. E.g. You flip your friend foward and he lands on a group of zombies and flattens them. Or you stand back to back in a huge mob of zombies, hitting them from both sides. Imagine if you could mug a zombie? Knock him on the floor and kick seven bells outta him. Some coop moves could be used to get to high or certain places, with a boost or a throw of your friend.
January 19th, 2007 at 12:56 am
Hey dead rising ruels kid why the hell would they put you into a mall again. They already did that and it would be very gay if they did it again
January 20th, 2007 at 12:57 am
I meant it for Dead Rising, have coop like that
January 23rd, 2007 at 9:00 pm
co op would rock but in new york or london better still multi choice citys all the capitalss of main citys and differnt character 4 each city streets full of zombies but not online too many people would be in the citys co op would be awsome so i could play wid my mate jack and sam ps only on xbox 360 ps3 is crap
January 24th, 2007 at 4:55 pm
dead rising was an amazing game but they should have made it a bit like a grand theft auto game were you start off, a bit like this, come home from a holiday and when you get home you go to bed and get woken up by a scream in the street you look to see no 1 there but turn on the tv to find all chanels with the same show viewing ‘the news’ and there is a man telling you about the disaster and tells you how to defeat the zombies and you have a choice of were to start off eg, go to save 5 best friends, girl friend brother and sister mam and dad (reccomended best friends because theres 5 of them) and you can drive cars motobikes and fly planes. you should get missions on this 1 but by you friends and family if they are still alive and you should get money to buy stuff of tight shop keepers that dont want you to help them like ‘cleaatus’ of dead rising 1 and ’sean’ the shops have to b broken into instead of just beeing able to open the door and you should b able to colect weapons and take them bak to your house were your 5 friends will be and after a while of gaining experience points in the field of fighting and training you should be able to make your car beter and your weapons stronger and become stronger yourself. in dead rising 2 you should definetly be able to go around the city and a mall and be able to eat and do loads of realistic things like get a girlfriend if you want 1 and make love to her and kiss her and give her preasants and make more m8s by saving them and asking them to follow you to your base (house) and be able to run at the same time as you eat and b able to find a trolly and fill it with things to eat and drink for you and your friends that are staying in the house. you should be able to get your friends to follow you by recruiting them in the house but only hav a limit to tem people with you on a adventure. and last of all you should be able to pick up anything you want if you are strong enough that is. oh and this is definetly the last thing you should be able to continue messing after you complete the game 100%.
January 27th, 2007 at 6:35 am
I believe that there should be more weapons, but not too many more - i think instead of adding more guns, they should focus on making the environment more interactive, being able to pick up everything in the environment - priorities people. the focus of the game is supposed to be melee combat, not an everyday run-gun shooter. also, on the topic of weapons, make all weapons have 2 different attack modes - not two different modes that do the same amount of damage. and apply that to all weapons. i mean, even with guns, you should be able to do something else, like pistol whip or something once it runs out of ammo as opposed to it simply breaking and disappearing - you should also pick up ammo, not another one of the same gun - it doesnt make sense that he can walk around with 13 machine guns on his back. also, metal weapons shouldnt break - they should get mangled and damaged, but not break, unless we are talking about a coat hanger - pipes dont break easily. QAn improve inventory system would be nice, but I dont want it to change too much - i like it the way it is, but it oculd be a little more realistic, like it could be similar to the RE4 inventory, or even a version of the original R.E. inventory, with the slots. I stil want to be able to carry a bunch of different weapons, but maybe in a different manner.
A choice of multiple characters would be nice - i must admit i love frank west, hes a champ, but I tihnk it would be nice to get a few different characters who have different abilities - i dont want it to turn into resident evil outbreak though - thats the problem i can see happening with a co-op mode. also, the ai characters should have inventories as well, but not quite as extensive as franks - it would be cool to be able to run around with a sidekick who acted like ur pack horse

On the topic of ai, i think that they should be able to defend themselves to a degree, depending on the type of character they are. For instance, if they are scared, you should be able to tell them to take cover or something like that. Also, you should be able to put anyone in a trolleyif they are hurt - would make the “injured person” missions so much easier. and they would act as a kind of weapon too
with regards to the environment, i think a city would be nice, but in the next one it shouldnt be a huge city - it should be in a small town, like raccoon city, or even willemette - i dont care, but the highrise buildings should be the next step up - it should be a progression from small, enclosed environment, to medium environment, then huge environment - the huge one could be a rip-off of new york or something. that would be awesome, but i want the middle ground. or, you could even make the huge environment one the online mode. someone made up the title “the city that never dies” and i like that - could work brilliantly with an online mode.
with regards to co-op - i think that there should be an option for system link, online, and split screen - the split screen would be hard to code, because of the environments in question (being able to go anywhere they want) but its possible considering th 360 has mutliple cores, i would think thats at least possible.
cant think of much more to say.
January 27th, 2007 at 11:20 am
In other words you want a zombie mod for gta. Go search for one instead of plauging dr2 with rubbish.
January 27th, 2007 at 11:44 am
oh and also please, please, have weather effects. especialy like in the forest at night in “Gears of War” in the pouring rain, and dont know what could ambush you in a dark park forest or graveyard. i know im old-fashion still love old cemeteries even tho the ones in the ground wont come out. hehe make it like “The Return of the Living Dead”

Stuff like buying things from shops and flying planes and boats and the like are quite possibly the most idiotic idea ever… No offense or anything, they’re good ideas for something like GTA but in Dead Rising they’re a tad unethical. The idea behind Dead Rising is that a location (Willamette Mall in DR1) is overrun with a horde of zombies, if you could fly planes and drive boats then you’d be able to avoid the zombies and that would ruin the entire point of the game. Secondly, if an area is infested with zombies, do you really think that shopkeepers would be waiting around in their stores for you to come buy something?! Most of them would die in a matter of minutes, just like, oh, i don’t know, THE SURVIVORS THAT POSSESS THE MOST IDIOTIC AI I HAVE EVER SEEN! They get attacked by a zombie and rather then fight their way free, all you hear is, “FRAAAAANK!!!” GOD DAMMIT, PULL YOUR OWN WAIT! Frank is busy enough fighting the zombies that are trying to eat his brains!!! I already posted a while ago so i won’t repeat myself.
February 4th, 2007 at 4:32 am
Anubin i agree with what you said on number 18. there is room for in improvement…i never thought of it that way. it is the best zombie game but there is things they can add to improve it so you dont lose interest in a month..lol
February 4th, 2007 at 3:34 pm
Yes, I was hoping it would come to this. But Frank would need to be ready for this, Since he is now infected with the zombie virus. He never really got rid of it. The true ending, talks about 50 children that were infected by the virus, place in 50 states in major cities. Yet the government seems to deny it though, ok, there needs to be something where the government goes down for this. This would be great if it took place in one of the largest cities, and most populated. but find out that one of the breakouts have already started and others are sent out to find the other children in the other 49 states while Frank is up to cleaning up the one breakout in the state hes in now. It needs to be big, it might take years to make i know, but it will be worth the wait. get a whole map of a city, and model it into the game, including every building, making it possible to open up to every one of them, and dont skip out on a floor or room. thats how it should be, with a night and day cycle.
vehicles? yes, but still they need to blow up when you hit too many zombies. but you need to put more things that you can do with them, jumps and all, be able to smash your motorcycle through windows and doors of the buildings. be able to shoot while in them also. You find any survivors? sure, strap-em-up and load them in your car! and the AI needs to be a little bit better, and at least learn to fight back when a zombie grapples onto them, i didnt quite like bringing back 7 people all the way to rescue one and lose a scoop chance. so improve that 2
Weapons, need better. adding some of the military weapons. and the ways you can use them, like execution moves with the weapons, putting the barrel in their mouth and blasting thier head off. make show the bullet holes in the bodies, gashing with blood. be able to move while aiming the gun, at least. anything up to grenade launchers to RPG’s. having fun with grenades. yes, that would be great, if a zombie gets close yes, you would just love to shove it in thier mouth and take your hand out and run out of there. knives of all kinds, need to be in. we did like the swords and katanas and machetes, those were good, keep all the hardware but add some more and add more things that you can do with them, instance, you find a long spear or lead pipe, longer than you got in dead rising, you should be able to charge with it and run it through the zombies untill you cant stab any more zombies and they all stick to the pole, like 5 or more stuck together like you stick multiple marshmello’s on a metal stick, we need spraycans and matches you can pick up, instead of a flamethrower, since you can find many household materials in any building that is flamable, use those and create a flesh burning circus of zombies catching eachother on fire when touching the other. be able to use weapons like bow’s and use things to increase thier power, like the food, where you mix it up to make it better? well think of some of the older weapons, mainly the bow’s you find a box of small bombs, place them on the tip, and fire it into the zombie. and when you throw a pipe at a zombie make it stick in the wall and the zombie with it.
Last but not least, some kind of engineering. A place you can bring back a vehicle, and place add-ons that make you vehicle deadly (like that movie dawn of the dead at least i think it was it, when they had what looked like a train, but on wheels, where it had all kinds of weaponry on it) lol, the ILLIGAL way, get a car, or truck. basically ANY kind of vehicle, placing LARGE metal plates that you find anywhere, and arming chainguns to them, add ports to where if you get any survivors, pick them up, arm them with a chainsaw and stick it through the port slicing the hands off, yes, rebuild the whole bus. because im sure, if this is going to be a city? i wouldnt be that damn stupid if i was frank to go on foot or with a vehicle without some kind of armor or weaponry to it. try to make it anything possible.
Not to forget, your partner Isabella, needs to be with you, to provide things that will keep away the “Hungry Horde”
Enemies. ok, whoever said that humans can only be infected by the zombie virus? yeah you got animals too, not trying to make this sound like a Resident evil, but any animal will do, there needs to be sudden mutations of the virus that makes Some zombies into the most freakish looking unhuman things. But if this happens it should come later on when they have somebody doing expirements with them, and you have to hunt him down and kill him.
Be able to climb more things, lots more.
last, there needs to be a boss, the kid, that started it all? yes, needs to be the monstrous and huge enemy.
February 5th, 2007 at 1:16 pm
A create your own character would be sweet, i think it would be better in a full town, maybe willamette or even do a prequel in santa cabeza, Frank should be in the game if it is set in willamette, maybe he could be like otis was in DR1. except less annoying and at the end of the game you have to kill him, if the game is set in santa cabeza then you should be able to play the game as a younger carlito trying to get out of there rescuing his sister, there should be more weapons available to use aswell, the swat shouldnt be trying to kill you as they might need your help later in the game, e.g some missions you have to rescue certain swat members, the AI of the survivors should be alot better, they shouldnt let themselves get surrounded by zombies even though you have given them a blade or a sub machine gun, the idea of building your own safe house could be extended to building your own city out of survivors like in George A Romeros Land Of The Dead, this could be really good as you could build it as large as you want and you can place certain survivors in charge of the security and place others in different types of jobs, not rescuing the right people could have an effect on your city for example you might need someone who can put the electricity or plumbing back into your city. without these other people could leave the safe haven and never be seen again. there are endless possibilitys with this game, at the end of the day were all gonna have to wait and see what capcom comes up with
February 5th, 2007 at 9:31 pm
your guy should be an FBI agent trying to solve why the heck zombies are attacking a town. it would make it much better. you can call me wierd but it would be freakin awesome.
February 5th, 2007 at 9:31 pm
I say to keep it as down to earth as possible, and big…but on a small scale.
For those of you who don’t know, Dead Rising is NOT GTA.
It’s not even really a sand box kinda game, its a game with a plot that just happens to be very leniant with the way in which it lets you do things.
I say DR2 should be in a small town (Willamette…), which could be a bit bigger than the mall, but not huge.
If the place was San Andreas size, things would get very boring…very quickly.
Weapons should break, enough moaning about iron bars breaking, you do realise that if you use anything long enough with force…it’ll break? Get used to it.
Anyway, suggestion time.
Barricading buildings would be awesome.
Zombies should be able to break through windows and doors, and obviously barricades.
Which brings me onto my next point, multiplayer. Anyone who has unlocked the infinity mode on DR will know what I am on about. Keep it like infinity mode (Except make your life go down slower.), and just have a server with lots of people playing at once. It’s that simple. That way people can choose to work together, kill each other for food and weapons, or just ignore each other. It’d bring a whole aspect of trust, tactics and planning into the game, and a whole load of freedom, rather than just forcing players into co-op style play.
No over the top weapons like super cars with rockets on.
Keep it a survival game, with a normal guy using normal weapons to try and live. Far more fun.
Anyone else should just go and play GTA.
February 6th, 2007 at 12:00 am
sounds like some good ideas on this thread. Hopefully Capcom will use some of them and DR2 will be an amazing game. I liked DR but I wanted to like it even more but the save system and the way you use the guns just didn’t feel comfortable for me. Still though it is a really fun game in doses.
February 8th, 2007 at 9:39 pm
what if you made the dead rising 2 game with co-op and everything then made a MMORPG(i havnt seen a zombie one before but i bet it would make tones of money with all the zombie fans out there) you could customize your characters apearance and everything and it could be set in several city hubs where you can get missions from the goverment and other organizations to help secure humanitys survival or destroy it and you would get paid for your work and if you save people on the way you get more.this money could be used to buy mods for ur guns and equipment and buy clothes and you could buy armour to protect you to some degree, like body armour for bullet protection and somthing for axe protection ect. ect. would only protect from somthing spacific but protection is protection and of course this would be worn under clothes so no one needs to worry about what looks cool but on the down side zombies could still tear through it like a sheet of paper as they bite and tear you apart and dont use weapons(bosses should be able to use weapons though like advanced zombies or somthing). this is only a rough idea but it would be cool.
February 10th, 2007 at 2:11 pm
dead rising should have a beter gun choice and easier aiming.also it should let you create a character and an occupatoin lik if you are cop you have a gun or if you are a butcher you have a cleaver and lastley the setting should be in a town where it has a big population and
lots of stores to take stuff from.some of the other poeple i talk to say there should be akind of gta gameplay but it sould stay the same like the first deadrising.
February 11th, 2007 at 12:30 am
multiplayer online and offline thats all i care about i just want F***ING MULTIPLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
February 12th, 2007 at 3:51 pm
OMG you still dont get it though, it says in the real ending, there are 50 children that have the virus and have been spread out into 50 states. so its got to take it in that direction, not no before, its got to be after. NO im not trying to make it a GTA b/c i could care less about that game nor do i like it. they have the children in cities all across the US as it showed, they were all spread out as it showed the dots OF the infected across the USA ( and yes, i have to say that again, because some people cant put it in thier heads) So it has to be something big, but i dont think the SF will be on your team. There is no way that could happen and i dont think it will make up for that, they try to clean up thier own mess. You just need more things, b/c when the breakout occurs then its not going to be like DR1, remember we are done with willamete, so it is done with so we got to carry on with the rest of the story, not what happend before, or it would be called DeadRisingTheBeginning. You shouldnt just have some kind of peice of crap car either just to run them over, you need to put stuff like metal plating, knives and all sorts of things you can nail on there. but what you can put on is what you find outside.
February 14th, 2007 at 12:08 pm
RELOADS, i cant stress enough how much reloads affect games, for zombie games there should be reloads as it adds to the fear conntent of the game for instance playing dead rising i found that useing guns on the zombies was too easy and easly boring but if reloads are intraduced it would make teh overall game play that much better as players dnt run around collecting the same guns all the time but collect maybe 2 of the same and reload them when needed like 17 bullets a clip max(handgun) and you could pick up clips is well, also the ability to get better in specific weapons instead of the same through out the whole lvling up( so gun actions would be the same but you could do special moves with them as you keep using them and after a while you can use twin handguns and learn moves with them) its just a bit boring now, i definetly wouldnt buy dead rising 2 if the lvling up wasnt alot better, sort of like world of warcraft you use a certain weapon and you would get better with it, using it more smoothly. but the the guns aim would be more presice and reloads would be more smoother and faster, or you could choose buy adding points to certain areas like: handgun aim, handgun reload,(or even handgun modifying success)axe handeling(your skill with the axe makes it easyer to swing and adds another combo so instead of just 3 successive attacks there is another 1 added to the end to make 4)but that doesnt matter as much as the RELOADS god i hate noclip games suck so much i bet you most people agree with me that reloads make a zombie game so much better, having to watch your ammo to see when you need to reload next instead of just aiming at zombies and shooting until your so bored of guns you would rather commit suicide than play the game any more. so BRING IN THE RELOADS CAPCOM(and put in a noclip cheet for the few who like boring games they will always win at).
February 15th, 2007 at 7:23 am
if u did have an online mode with zombie team vs human team no matter how many zombies there r humans r gonna kick ass. So heres an idea, zombie team vs human team, human team gets weapons, health and the like and zombies get upgrades like moving faster, skills (like maybe leaping 4 a human instead of limping after them), and health regenaration.
i think this would make online play versus matches alot more challenging, interesting and people will actually WANT to b zombies.
February 16th, 2007 at 8:17 pm
I hope in Dead Rising 2 that Frank West is stil with us, I like Frank, hes a cool charecter and kind of came a part of the game which made Dead Rising - Dead Rising lol
Who thinks he will be in it? Or knows…?
February 25th, 2007 at 2:19 am
i think it should start in a suburban area and have a home and upgrade it like barracades, car, ect. and can go to city’s and look threw houses. think i am legend.
have gangs and co-op.
be able to be a zombie or get infected.
more weapons.
and more abilities.
February 25th, 2007 at 12:13 pm
i think that there should be more moves instead of hand to hand moves you should have more moves with melee weapons and guns also it would be great if you could tie a knife or edged weapon to your shotgun or rifle so if you want to stick the bags of bones to your bayonnet they will stick to your gun and you would be able to plug it with lead without troubles.
February 25th, 2007 at 12:34 pm
just like what chris said you can own a home and upgrade but it would also be cool if you can have a wepon cache down in the cellar and if its going to be a free roam game dont load when you enter a building it gets fairly annoying but it could work for cutscenes. like i said that you can tie things on you gun you should also tie a flashlight under your barrel the rocket launchers like off of deadrising i was so disapointed when you couldnt use it and you can attach a scope on your gun like socom i am hoping to play deadrising 2 and if you see this inform a friend who works at capcom
February 26th, 2007 at 11:34 pm
have an online/co-op mode with various storylines (cases) and let players either pick from a varied cast or create characters on their own and run around a city completing these cases together one person hosts and the other people join and start together then people can leave and someone else can join and take over their character or start their own at level one, you could have various sets of these and maybe when you finish the first city set of misions you can keep your character for a second city map, with different quests etc to play with other players who have finished the first or this sort of thing could be included in an expansion pack of some sort if they want to squeeze more money out of it but definately agree with customizeable hideout sort of thing is a must also possibly a slightly more comprehensive statistics section ie - have like levels of different things that you had to get magazines for in the original one similar to your damage speed and health scores, a better aiming system maybe the ability to move in first person shooting mode or something similar, the ability to upgrade or “craft” weapons kitchen knife tied tightly to the end of a shotgun as bayonet for a combined ranged melee attack, and possibly some dodgy characters who can sell you someparticularly juicy hard to find stolen items that you would find very hard to get your hands on like some high quality assault weaponry or the like.
February 26th, 2007 at 11:40 pm
just a side note perhaps for the multiplayer mode maybe there should be a map editor for the new milenium like arcanum except cooler I mean see what people have done with wc3 frozen throne the custom maps thing is huge and with such a cool orginal game like dead rising it could only be even better
March 1st, 2007 at 7:01 pm
I don’t particularly like the whole city idea everyone seems to think is so great. I would prefer something that didn’t take away from the games feel like a theme park.
March 8th, 2007 at 2:51 pm
i agree with everything said …would be great to see such a brilliant title on both 360 and ps3
March 8th, 2007 at 2:56 pm
A theme park the size of Disneyworld would be a cool idea ZL. The city theme is kind of overused so something different would be nice. Land of the Dead (the worst zombie game ever made) already did the city thing. Maybe you they could do DR2 on a large cruise ship (sorta like the Ghost Ship movie) … I think that would work well and would be very different from the norm.
March 10th, 2007 at 5:51 pm
to be brief here is what i hate about DEAD RISING.
1. Stupid survivors like Aaron(Moron more like), KINDELL(The shotgun mad lunatic, geez get it off him quick before he kills us), RONALD(come on shut up about food before i ram some down your throat so you choke) and of course OTIS(brrr brrrr every time you carry someone, geez shut up will you. Thank god you can kill him first in Unlimited mode).
2. Overtime mode only 24 hours, boo why not 48 so i could get the 5 day achievement.
3. 7 Day survivor achievement, boxers, what the hell is that for 14 hours plus how about a rocket launcher or an even a grenade launcher, who the hell wants boxers?
4. Inability to play as more than FRANK WEST, come on why not isabella, Brad, Jessie or even Carlito?
Anyway when they do sequel(i so so hope they do) i want it to be like so.
1. more weapons especially better power guns or launchers.
2. Ability to play with any of 4 to 6 characters like you can in the RESIDENT EVIL games.
3. Start of in the city
4. The Story leads you to the Amusement park where you find out a little about the outbreak.
5. You then have to go to the mall to get the full story and take out the bad guy/lady, why just 1 why not 2.
6. Ability to fly around in short distances in own mini helicopter like the military use. I mean can you imagine blowing away a zombie from an helicopter?
7. Ability maybe to change within characters maybe throughout the game, well it would give you a real challenge.Like say you start as say a guy or lady reporter but once you at the park then you switch between 2 characters, and then maybe in the mall 3, why not it been done in other games before.
8. More intelligent survivors who actually are already armed when you rescue them.
9. maybe the 6 endings again, but for all of the different characters?
March 11th, 2007 at 9:12 am
I Think They Shood Make It Like..
Start That The Same Man From Dead Rising 1 Hears About Another Town In The Middle Of Nowhere Is Zombiefied.. The Police Dont Know Yet.. Pupils Are Stuck In A High Scott People Are Stuck In There Homes..
Maybe First He Should End Up Crashing His Car Near There.. When Going To Find A Repairshop He Finds Himself Stuck In the Middle Of Nowhere.. He Might First Go To A School.. Houses.. Vhurch.. Shops.. A Swimming Pool.. And Maybe A Roller Coaster Park To Save People That Are Still Alive.. And Maybe Even A Few Cars.. Make It About The Size Of One Island From GTA3 So Its Not A City Sized Place!
March 12th, 2007 at 11:21 pm
what the new dead rising should have…
1. more locations to rescue players online and A.I
2. Animals! Tons of animals like bears, horses, rhinos and tons more that like escape from the zoo and rip the zombies to shreds.
3. Have 100s, 1000s, of players that u can knock out / kill and offer their living/lifeless bodies to the zombies, hang them on the ceiling of a house and watch them scream to death.
4. create your own character
5. Imprison zombies in cages and then put humans in there
6. Make your own barrackade
7. make zombies have babies
8. make nuclear weapons!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ill put some more lat’r
March 16th, 2007 at 12:28 am
it would be awesome if you can dual wield, edged weapons, pistols submachine gun or any short weapon.there should also be a rage meter like if you kill enough zombies your rage meter goes up and you can do finishers on zombies. please be able to customize your vehicle it would be rad.
March 17th, 2007 at 7:12 am
4 Player Splits Screen. Purely optional for those that don’t want it. But great fun for groups of friends with a 360. Just don’t make the mistake GTA:San Andreas did where the players shared the same screen as that was terrible
March 17th, 2007 at 7:15 pm
the first one is cool the way it is. on the second one they should make a bigger location and more weapons
March 21st, 2007 at 10:34 am
The best game in gaming history!
Improvement? For this amazing games? I think i have some… although, not far from the others.
-Bigger mall, more store! And give us chance to walk to the outside.
-more weapon: sprays (pepper sprays, paint)- More type of shotgun and handguns - More sub machine gun and heavy 50 cal - Crossbow-sling shot - M60 machine gun - Slippery oil.
-firearm needs ammo, firearms cannot wear off
-Smarter survivor who can follow Frank without get stuck on walls, fence etc
-better saving methods, at least give 2 slots for saving
March 23rd, 2007 at 5:03 pm
HAVE FRANK BE A SIDE CHRACTER then you create yourself. Have you be in the city and the zombie guys come kill your friends and family then woohoo frank and iabella come along and help you save chicago or new york or wereevr the hell it is
March 23rd, 2007 at 5:05 pm
I like the chicago idea persanally because its my homtown or miami would be nice
March 23rd, 2007 at 5:06 pm
brad you need driver parralel lines
March 23rd, 2007 at 5:07 pm
mikey your mentel
March 24th, 2007 at 6:25 am
i think dead rising should be a multi player game and be based on the same town and it should be out side the mall and in side so you can go all over the city and have more charicters and so you can drive in cars and brad and jessie should come back in the story and more weopons
March 27th, 2007 at 11:05 pm
More inputs… Please Capcom Guys, read these fun inputs.
-Conversation with Voice, not just a small text. Just like “Destroy All Human 2″.
-Can explore inside and outside mall.
-Should be a huge gun store outside the mall with everything in it. like grenade, heavy machine gun, lever action rifle, pump action shotgun, double barrel shotgun, 22 cal rifle or pistol, m-16 rifle, ak-47, rocket launcher or even AIR RIFLE, BB guns and harmless Airsoft Guns!
-More free time! So player can really explore the mall or small town.
-Less ‘Loading’ moment, quite annoying though.
-Some aggresive surivors who loves kills Zombie are needed. So, players can actually working each other with them. Like Police survivors, soldiers or even a marshall art masters.
-More space to save
-Firearm uses bullets and shells, players do not need to bring more than 1 shotgun at a time
-more store, more stuff for Frank to mess with although they’re useless. it’s fun to use useless water gun for example.
-More experiment like cooking, filled water gun with juice that can hurt Zombies or hated or loved by Zombies. Yup, flame thrower with tank and hose. Really nice!
Make your own super Bomb by mixed up certain ingedients. Bombs have 3 types, Incendairy, Frag or just a big blast.
-More sports goods such as in-line-skate, Tennis Racket, Tennis Net (to barricade Zombies).
-military Stuff such as Body armour, Knee Pad (absorb drop impact), Water canteen (to store up to 3 un mixed Juices), Back Pack (to store larger ammount of food), Tatical vest with body armour with pouches which can store more Ammo and Grenades. Rope to tied up a group of zombies or tied 2 of them so they get stuck if passing a tree or pilar.
-Jessie is back and please load her with more Aggresive attitude, yum…
-Frank can play video games
-Add some Slippery soap or oil, so Zombies fall everytime they tried to walk when we pour it on the floor.
April 13th, 2007 at 12:45 am
Maby first person and sensors on the feet and hands so you could do whatever was phisically possible for you!!
Totally cool ness like remotes in the hands and slip on feet sensors for kicking their undead butts!!! IT WOULD ROCK!!! Sorta like Wii you know? and mabey a body sensor or somthing so you can actually dodge and stuff! along with character creation you could put yourself in the action!Double weapon weilding too.OR mabey third person or switch views! ya, deffinitly switch veiws!
April 28th, 2007 at 8:00 pm
In case any bodys interested……….
Alot of you said a city, instead of just a mall, well, me and my best friend have been working on a game. So far there are about 400+ weapons, for those who said more weapons. There is 60+ guns, 4 characters (each unique) and plans for an island, a city, a war (against humans and zombies), a hospital and a mall. There is also a ridiculous amount of skills, including build on skills (like hammer throw is required for……. Actually its not requried for anything……..)
Any way, this project is huge, I just hope consoles can hold it when I’m older…… Just sayin’, for the future…… Oh, and theres multiplayer. And more surivivors/phsychos. Plus cameras are weapons as well as photo equitment (which you need to pass the game…….)
So if anyones interested, I’ll have a website for the game soon.
April 28th, 2007 at 8:05 pm
P.S. Theres also some hardcore people in it, and real reactions, not like “Watch it”, more like “WHAT THE F**K IS YOU’RE PROBLEM!?”
P.P.S. Unluckily theres not ammo, just guns…… I was just looking at the survivors list. 70+ Surivors, 50
+ phsychos. And theres 2 martial arts masters! YaY!
April 28th, 2007 at 8:14 pm
And theres a boat. Forgot about that, theres a boat. And a prison. The prisons small though. And cars are better, though theres only 7, there better.
April 30th, 2007 at 3:49 pm
you should make the hospital verry creepy and scary eg flikering lights crys from down the coridoors seeing people walking past you like there brainwashed jumping out zombies
May 4th, 2007 at 5:06 pm
Save mode in pause screen. I hate how you have to find a place to save your game.
May 9th, 2007 at 4:39 pm
Do any of you people get why the save system is the way it is? It is to keep the game interesting instead of saving every time you encounter a boss or a group of zombies. The save system is perfect. It is what makes the game so great. It creates suspense for people who are new to the game. A more challenging game is a good one. If you suck at survival then why would you even have this game. I have it and once you are good then the save system is not that challenging. Once you get better at the game than you will be able to survive more and if you cannot survive then rent games and try them before you buy them. My game is starting to not work anymore and I am pissed off because Dead Rising is the best game I have ever played. Hands down.
May 9th, 2007 at 4:47 pm
To add on to my first post the new game should have:
Better A.I.
More themes.
More Food
More Clothes
More survivors and psychos.
A Theme Park like Disney or a small rural town. I also like the idea of starting off with Isabella and Frank leaving Willamette and they encounter the town of Denver, Colorado and tell the people about the instance in Willamette. Then after about 25 years Frank’s potion wears off and infects Isabelle in Disney world while they are on vacation and “The Gamer” is Franks and Isabelle’s son and has to fight his way through hordes of zombie’s in Walt Disney World.
May 9th, 2007 at 6:29 pm
How about a save mode in Unlimited mode so you can create a real crazy achievement of 30 day survivor, but you can only save it like every 3 days. The story has to be bigger than just the 72 hour mode as well, how about a 120 hour mode so you now got to complete 5 day survivor, and then make overtime mode a full 48 hours. Leave on some of the achievements but put onb some new ones like so.
ZOMBIE ULTIMATE GENOCIDER - Kill 100,000 zombies, i mean i can kill close to that on 72 hour mode if i say to hell with the cases and the survivors.
SADIST - Kill 50 survivors, how about that for a new one. If in the new game they are going to be wiser and more tough, lets get an achievemnet for killing them too.
30 DAY SURVIVOR - Survive for 30 days, with option to save only every 3 to 5 days, now that would be cool. When i did the 7 day survivor, i was bored out of my mind after 5 days of gameplay(10 Hours of normal time) i just kept inb the security for 24 hours to do the indoorsman achievement and just topped up his health as i watched a film on my laptop through the last 4 boring hours.
HUMAN KILLER - Kill 50 people as a zombie, man would this be a cool thing to do, especially if you rip them apart and so on.
MASTER OF ARMS - Use 50 different weapons in the game on zombies. Can you imagine trying to kill a zombie with one of those special books, now that would be laughable.

i didn’t really think there was anything wrong with it. I think they should start the sequel with the exact same charactures but expand the playing field. make it as big as cyrodel is in oblivion. and that online thing dos’t sound so bad. and also release some downloadable content for it like new weapons, areas, and characture models.

The city is a good idea as there would be muliple environments for Frank (or somebody new) to tackle such as schools, hospitals, malls, suburban areas and sports arenas. Plus you could throw zombies off of skyscrapers! Weapon combinations such as aerosol cans and lighters! Greater variety of vehicles like dirtbikes and ATVs. More save points! Better AI and greater variety of zombies as the same ones kept popping up in DR.

Now I think most definettly of all things… the place. Now I wouldn’t mind a hack and slash in a prison. Come on think about it! Any of you played the suffering? Thats wat im thinking of. Yes, and coop would be fantastic! Easy achievements! Not too easy but you know what I meen. And don’t make all achievements 20 gamerpoints I meen I get as much points for killing 1000 zombies as I do for 58000? Come on!

i think that dead rising should be set outside the mall in the town, and it should be set befor the first one and should have the first bit with the zombies just coming out then round about half way the helecopter with frank in it should come past in the sky n u could go to ere the lady falls off the roof and c all the things that happened in the frist cinimatic of dead rising and the hellcopter photo thingy.
near the start you should have to war everyone u know on a map that its going to happen cause you somehow find out.and just befor the lady is on the roof or the dude is in the car you should get a chance to talk to them bout the zombies n stuff.
also you should be in a school going to hide out in it and then try to escape in a schoolbus then the schoolbus gets tipped by zombies n u have to escape from it.
also you should be driving the school bus,and the last thing you see befor it gets tipped is the gas station blowing up XD
and yeah also more weapons and zombie animals and stuff
and be able to save anytime
and there should be a few outcomes when compleating the game like getting into the mall and noone being left in it alive(including zombies),and being baricadded in a house with other survivors ,or escaping the city and whatever you do should affect witch one u get XD,and the one where you escape the city there should be a closing sceen there shuld be a road sign saying racoon city blah blah balh miles west or whatever lol
oh what else could there b XD
you should be able to drive any car and there should be psycopaths defnding their holmes
and you should be able to enter every single building
and no time limit it should be when you have got every objective u need to get the ending you get it and you should be able to chose if you want to go straght away or still explore for a while
and army soldiers should be at the edges of the streets but no in the city and all the ones that are should be zombies.
god iv went on for a bit
oh n some of the characters you see in the mall in the first one you should see going to the mall at the start of the second one n when u talk tot hem they should say that and if its too much to let the characters in the mall in the second one cause they have the rest of the town it should be barricaded by the army aswell
and there should be thousands more weapons than the first one and all the bodies of dead zombies and people should stay where they died instead of disapearing after a while.
i have more but i think ill leave it there lol

hey i love idea of DR2 with co-op but 2 many peolp if it was 4 online so i think it should have like only 30 people on the map and there should be more guns in this game and ammo pick ups u know i love that.
also i think that the idea of chararther creation would be nice????? make him a normal person or police
