WoW Has 7 Million Subscribers

Blizzard’s World of Warcraft is steaming ahead, with over 7 million paying subscribers as of today. The game is by far the most popular MMO out there, with 50% of the market share.
Later this fall The Burning Crusade will be released, the first of many expansions. Considering the growth rate of new subscribers and the expansion, there are good chances of WoW surpassing the 8 million mark before the end of 2006.
