Japan Getting Xbox360 Core Package
Until now, Microsoft has only offered the Premium pack in Japan, currently selling at $340. From November, Japanese gamers will be able to purchase the Core pack as well, at $255, or around 30,000 Yen. But unlike the Europe and US versions, the Japanese Core pack will include Project Gotham Racing 3 and Ninety Nine Nights.
To further try to capture the Japanese gamers, Microsoft will also lower the price of some games. The first round of “Platinum Collection” will include 5 games (including the two mentioned above), and retail for half of what the used to cost.
