No Console Spore Yet

EA has announced that the upcoming RPG/strategy game Spore is currently in development only for the PC, although console versions have been announced. EA says,
“Right now we’re 100 percent focused on finishing SPORE on the PC and PC only. Though we’re investigating the possibilities of bringing the franchise to other platforms in the future, any announcements or confirmations for the Wii or any other platform would be premature.”
As you may know Spore creator Will Wright said during E3 that the game will come to all major platforms, including the Wii. Last week we reported how the Wii version will connect with the DS, offering a new style of gameplay.
