Sony is always trying to make new formats that benefit themselves and making it proprietary whether its there batteries, cameras, memory, power cords whatever I’m just tired Sony and there ways.

You are right. One of the reasons is that there will be about ten times as many Wii’ on the market. 5 million wii’ against 500.000 PS3′ at the end of march. If this trend continues, the PS3 will be a bigger flop than the gamecube. Interesting thought I think. I’m not saying that’s the way it’s going to be, but it could might just very well end up that way. And look at the earlier “too expensive machines”. Gamegear – it died. NeoGeo – it died too. Beside of the Playstation and Sony brand, the PS3 dont offers that much thats not available allready. Even the Blu-ray format lacks the quality of HD-DVD. Maybe Blu-ray is doomed the same kind of way that prior Sony inventions like Betamax, Minidisc and UMD. Everything points in that direction at the moment. So if you by a playstation 3, you might end up having a dated machine after a couple of years
