I was hoping for something less than that, and the $10 for N64 games also surprises me a bit.

    But I’m defninitely getting one!

  2. Zac Says:

The gimmick console actually worth 50$ to retail for…

    249$, october 21st.

    mmm and.

‘ ‘ Games are set at $49.95, third party games can cost $59.99. ‘ ‘

why they charging the same $$$ for this gimmicks games then same as xbox 360 games.

  6. Shaka Says:

There’s no way in hell I’m paying $250 for a 2-3x souped up $49 Gamecube with a wireless controller and sensors.

Nintendo. Great on promises. Short on delivery.

Looks like they’re gouging for their 15 year old games too. Come on guys. $5 for an 8-bit NES game? I’m sitting this one out, Nintendo…I’ve already been screwed over by your underwhelming products enough times.

Any bets on how long it takes before a redesigned Wii Lite hits shelves? /grumbles

  7. Kevin Cortez Says:

I demand a Shaka rant blog.

  8. Kill Joy Says:

I’d have to be smoking some serious Wiid to buy that crap.

“The gimmick console actually worth 50$ to retail for…”

lol and that’s the fact? Where’s your proof?

“Sony. Great for 3 games. Late on delivery.

“Any bets on how long it takes before a redesigned Wii Lite hits shelves? /grumbles” you mean like that silver ps2?

“why they charging the same $$$ for this gimmicks games then same as xbox 360 games.”

    they’re $10 cheaper.
the blu-ray player is the biggest gimmick out there.

  10. A. Green Says:

$249 is good. Nintendo kept their promise. It is still less expensive than the other systems. Not to mention that the Wii will just be an overall more entertaining gaming console than the PS3 and 360.

  11. Zac Says:

Yeah $249 is good. Though we don’t know that it’s the more entertaining console, yet.

  12. Kaiser Soze Says:

Haven’t Iwata always said it would cost right about $250?

Besides, you get Wii sports when you by the Wii

I can’t see why people are complaining. I think waiting for a pricedrop is a stupid idea. It’s like the folks who said they wanted to wait for a pricedrop for the DS, guess they have to wait keep waiting

  13. Zac Says:

Why do we need a price drop? It’s already cheap.

  14. Tix Says:

You what we need, another dozen FPS. They are so fucking creative. Run and shoot. FUCK YEAH!
