cod2With the new and powerful next-gen consoles and hardware, it costs quite a lot to make games these days. Xbox360 titles cost $60, and many thought of PS3 games going higher than that, some estimates said $70, other even $80 for a PS3 game.

Now according Activision executive Robert Kotick, PS3 games from Activision won’t cost more than $60. He let the news during a presentation at the Merrill Lynch Media and Entertainment Conference yesterday. They’ll roughly price PS3 games at the same level as 360 games, because, apparently, people don’t care how much they’re paying:

“We have not seen a lot of consumer resistance at the higher price points and we expect that all of our next-generation products will be launched at $60 price points,”

Kotick did not mention how much they will charge for Wii games, probably lower, perhaps the $50 that Nintendo set for first party games earlier today.
