Nintendo held the last of three events earlier today and released info about the Wii in Europe. The console will launch on December 8 for €249 ($318), or £179. That’s considerably higher than in the States or Japan, but we got the usual taxes and other crap that follows all electronic hardware.
The Australian version will launch on December 7th for AU $399, or $299. Both Euro and AU versions will include Wii Sports. As with the US launch, the same launch games will be available (around 15 games), each sold for 50-60 Euros, or £35-40 GBP.

1You guys need to check the latest currency rates…
249.00 GBP United Kingdom Pounds = 467.601 US United States Dollars
179.99 GBP United Kingdom Pounds = 338.023 USD United States Dollars
At this price, its a joke, compared to US and Japan…
…another Euro own goal by another Japanees company…
