Xbox 360 Platinum Hits Coming Soon

Microsoft has revealed today that its Xbox 360 will be getting its own Platinum Hits line, just as the original Xbox had. The games that are said to become Xbox 360 Platinum Hits titles include Perfect Dark Zero, Project Gotham Racing 3, Kameo: Elements of Power and Need for Speed Most Wanted.

The Xbox 360 Platinum Hits line will retail at $29.99 and will launch on October 15, while another wave of 360 Platinum Hits will be coming in spring of 2007.

Mitch Koch, vice president of worldwide retail sales, commented on the budget line:

Xbox 360 will have a ten million unit head start by the end of 2006, and there will be plenty of new console owners eager to jump in to the best-selling Xbox 360 games.

In addition, Microsoft also has announced that they will be creating a “Classics” line for the UK. Titles available for the UK’s Xbox 360 Classics line include Perfect Dark Zero, Kameo: Elements of Power, Condemned and Peter Jackson’s King Kong.
