Nintendo’s Wii PR Campaign

September 24th, 2006 Posted in Business

Untitled-21.gifNintendo is aiming quite high with the Wii, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that they are spending £10m for their marketing budget for online advertising. They will be using the slogan “Wii Move You” to further stress the point. We don’t know if they are getting rid of the “playing=believing” campaign, or if this is only for Nintendo of Europe, as there have been differences in regional marketing strategies (e.g. “Touch Me!”, “Touching is Good”).

I didn’t like the Playing=Believing slogan, and “Wii Move You” doesn’t sound much better to me.

Marketing just doesn’t seem to be one of Nintendo’s strong points.
