Rockstar Games have announced their newest franchise, L.A. Noire, a crime thriller developed by Australian based studio Team Bondi.

According to Rockstar, the game is an “interactive detective story set in the classic noir period of the late 1940’s.” and will be a mix of action and complex storytelling in an open-ended sandbox type gameplay. As you can imagine, noir usually means lot’s of jazz, cigarettes and black and white visuals. Check out a teaser trailer after the jump.
