Our previous reports indicated very high prices for PS3 games, but it turns out that is only in Japan. The western market will see the same games for $59.99USD, as SonyStyle.com has 7 launch titles setup for pre-order. If you order before Thursday, you get free shipping included as well.

Since there is no region locking, Japanese gamers will be able to save quite a lot by buying their games overseas.

   it’s only $650 for GTHD, which is only being upscaled and isn’t not even a new GT game. GT4 gave u all cars and tracks free…lol oh sony.

   Oh okay … well that is more in line with the current pricing structure, and while it may seem pricey I do understand about the rising costs of production.

   sony would be making a huge mistake to sell games that are more expensive than any other console system. i mean come on, they already made a horrible mistake by choosing the “spiderman” font as their font for “playstation 3″. could they really not figure out a better way to display that or what?

   Well special edition copies of certain games may come really close $80 with tax and everything thrown in. But yeah at the moment it seems that Sony is making a wise decision.
