Nvidia G80 Pictures

Pictures of the upcoming Nvidia G80 graphics card have emerged. The card is larger than any other on the market, and sports a massive cooler (one version with a water cooler as well). It has two 6-pin power connectors, which fuels the rumor suggesting it will consume 300W, more than the entire power consumption of a moderate computer. More pics after the jump.

Anyone heard any details about this card? Is this the first DX10 compatible card? Is it as fast as the 7950GX2?

The G80 will be DX10 compatible, and will certainly beat the 7950GX2

I think it’s DX10 compatable, as it states here.

Thanks for the info. But I don’t see that it will be faster than a 7950GX2. Anyway if it is that would be cool.

300w is ridiculous… I don’t care what its cooled with, thats a fire hazard.

There is no doubt that it will be faster than the 7950GX2, it has more pixel pipelines, larger memry bandwidth, much faster clock and memory (DDR4) speeds.

I guess that it will be a lot faster than the 7900 GTX but only a little faster than the 7950GX2 then. Of course the major selling point is DX10 so really the 7950GX2 can be thrown out the picture for next year’s high end gaming. Oh well … I’ll just sell mine on eBay to someone who doesn’t want to buy the latest and greatest Vid card. But now high end gamers will have to spend even more money on a new 1000W PS or a second PS just for the graphics cards … man this PC gaming is just getting to expensive for the average person.

Okay its only gonna be like 300-500
its has to be nobody on average hand can afford this crap being a 1k.Its just like the old days when the 6600 was the big show and the 6800 was bigger and now u can buy em for a 100 bucks>they already have a card better than this.
