zeldaIt’s only a few months until the Wii launches, with the undoubtedly most anticipated game, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Game director Eiji Aonuma has released some new information about the game:

  • The game will be 70 hours long, and include at least as many dungeons as Ocarina of Time (which had 9).
  • Because of the Wiimote, Link will be right handed in Twilight Princess.
  • … but will remain left handed in the GameCube version.
  • The title takes place after Ocarina of Time chronologically.
  • Link will be transformed into the Werewolf near waterfalls.
  • Wolf-Link will gain new abilities as game progresses
  • Wolf-Link will have heightened sense, making it easier to find hidden objects.
  • The horse will be with Link from the beginning, and will be faster than Epona from Ocarina of Time.
  • The game will not have any multiplayer features.

At 70 hours it’s far more than the average game today (which has around 10-15 hours of gameplay). I remember it took me at least a hundred hours to complete Ocarina of Time, with the famous Water Temple costing me two good joypads.
