New Zelda Twilight Princess Info
It’s only a few months until the Wii launches, with the undoubtedly most anticipated game, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Game director Eiji Aonuma has released some new information about the game:
- The game will be 70 hours long, and include at least as many dungeons as Ocarina of Time (which had 9).
- Because of the Wiimote, Link will be right handed in Twilight Princess.
- … but will remain left handed in the GameCube version.
- The title takes place after Ocarina of Time chronologically.
- Link will be transformed into the Werewolf near waterfalls.
- Wolf-Link will gain new abilities as game progresses
- Wolf-Link will have heightened sense, making it easier to find hidden objects.
- The horse will be with Link from the beginning, and will be faster than Epona from Ocarina of Time.
- The game will not have any multiplayer features.
At 70 hours it’s far more than the average game today (which has around 10-15 hours of gameplay). I remember it took me at least a hundred hours to complete Ocarina of Time, with the famous Water Temple costing me two good joypads.

Well I didn’t really take much notice of it before E3 (Nintendo either for that matter) and now I find out it’s got 70 hours of gameplay (WOW!) so I’m chuffed. This game may be the first to be actually worth $80.
But that’s my perspective, I can certainly see how waiting for so long would cause you to stop caring about it. My usual practice is to not take any interest until it get’s close to launch day. Then I ride the hype wave to launch.

Think about Halflife 2 for comparison. Or Ocarina of Time. That one lasted 40 hours I think. So this game is 75% longer. That is something

Shaka, I doubt any PS3 or Xbox360 game will ever reach 70 hours. Ever. This is probably the first and last Wii game to go 70 hours as well.

Uh news check Nintendo! NO ONE CARES ANYMORE ABOUT YOUR ZELDA GAME BUT YOUR SILLY FANBOYS! Maybe if yall made good on your promises and released this game a year ago maybe it could have saved the Cube and gotten more sales but nope Nintendo had to push it and release it on the Wii hoping to get more sales out of it. Trust me this game wont be in the top 20 selling games for more the 3 months. For 70 hours of gameplay I’ll play Final Fantasy 12 damn it a current gen game just like your Zelda game wrapped up in hype and Wiifanboyism.

To be honest, I really don’t care for this game anymore. It’s been announced for a pretty long time, and it pretty much slipped out of my mind completely.
But STD, what is this? “Trust me this game wont be in the top 20 selling games for more the 3 months.” Come on…my sister LOVES the Zelda series, and she hardly plays video games at all. Not only that, but I know a ton of other people at my school, most all casual gamers, who are totally interested in Zelda. Hell, I know a few who bought a Gamecube just for Zelda: Windwaker.

I am going to agree with you here STD , i mean they said last year the game was going to be out in november last year and then they said pushed back to early 06 and now its goint to sell with the wii on launch. this is so cheap if u ask me they tweak some so u fish with a patethic gimmick horrible.
70+ hours is weak for a game like this has been delayed so much. i rather play Rogue Galaxy for PS2 100+ hours or game play and made by Level 5.

I bought Wind Waker like a year ago. Played it for a week and havent played it since. Just lost interest in it I guess. Kinda like some with Twilight Princess. Kevin Cortez I have never met a gamer who bought a Cube to play Wind Waker. Atleast not in my school which has a bunch of fanboys. Ur school must be very full of Nintendo fans cause most of the gamers in mine are all anti-Wii or don’t even know what the Wii is.

Doom there is not one franchise Sony developed that would stand the test of time like Zelda has. There is not one game Sony developed that will ever get the sales of the Zelda series.
I don’t see why U think Zelda is for kids. Windwaker yes but Twilight Princess no doubt look more mature. The Zelda series have always had good reviews. Its not Nintendo fanboys who just like and buy Zelda. It’s true video gamers who don’t limit themself with brand of console.

Get your point, although, to my knowledge, the Zelda franchise haven’t been milked as lot as you try to prove. From “A Link To The Past” to “Ocarina Of Time” went eight years, unless you also include “Link’s awakening”. Surely you will be able yourself to find other non-nintendo franchises with much more milking of the fans (Half-life episodes, the Halo explosion to come, Need for speed). And to my knowledge, the only real games besides Zelda where you are able to play link, is Soul Calibur II and the Super Smash Bros games. Mario have been milked, but I really dont mind. I dont mind Golf, so I dont buy Mario Golf games.

The only other games that a Zelda character has appeared in is a Soul Calibur or Super Smash Bros. game.
The Mario series of games were originaly going to be another franchise, but Nintendo thought that it could reach more gamers with a Mario Title. Thus Maro Kart and Golf was born.
You can’t deny that the Mario Sports games have reached more Nintendo Gamers becasue of the Mario name.

lol, shaka, you’re finding non-facts in everthing. The Xbox camera is based off of the WEB CAMERA, which is what the EyeToy is ripped off of. That’s right shaka, your precious EyeToy is a ripoff of the Web Camera.
Plus, the EyeToy can’t detect tilt or movement of the Z axis. It’s also much more innacurate.

These “fun games” haven’t done well critcaly, or sales wise. Besides, it uses the same EXACT hardware as a web cam with a built in microphone. It bases motion sening off of your postition on the camera. The EyeToy is nothing new, people have been using webcames for games like that for ages.
Besides, the Wiimote can sense tilt and Z-Axis movement, somthing which the EyeToy and a web cam cannot.

Does the eyetoy get picked up and used as a controller? No.
Does it ACCURATLY know where you are? No.
Can it determine what angle you’re holding something at? No.
Can you use it to control an ingame device such as a sword or gun? No.
Does it have an inbuilt speaker? No.
Does it use the same positioning technology? No.
Does it hold information about your games? No.
Can you attach other devices to it? No.
Is it supported by a wide variety of games? No.
Face it Shaka. Your EyeToy argument makes no sence as there is nearly no comparison between said device and the Wiimote. “Face the facts”

You can use the Wiimote on the side as well. And there’s also the classic Wii controller. And there’s alto the ability to connect up GameCube controllers.

then it can easily get confused when someone else walks into the room. or if your dog/cat walks past. or if you cross your arms/legs. or if you move too quickly. or if the room is too dark for it to see you. or if the room is too bright. or there’s a mirror around and it gets confused between the reflection and you. too many stupid things to be reliable. maybe that’s why it only fully supports about 20 games. guess what, the Wii already beats that with about 20 launch titles and over 100 games in the making.
