Settlers VI Announced

settlersvUbisoft and developer Blue Byte have announced that they are developing the sixth edition of Settlers, currently scheduled for release sometime in 2007. The game has been in development since early 2006 in Germany, where managing director Odile Limpach said,

“Our development studio in Düsseldorf has a clear goal for The Settlers VI: to produce the best The Settlers game of all time. We want to appeal to fans of The Settlers series while ensuring the greatest possible accessibility to newcomers.

    I’m looking forward to this. I actually like slow paced games like this the most. And in general RTS games. I wonder, am I the only one who dont prefere violent shooters and fast paced racers here? Anyway, The Settlers II for the DS is a must. When will it come?
