Activision Brings 4 Titles To Steam

October 13th, 2006 Posted in News by Kevin Cortez

Valves online catalog of digitally distributed games via Steam is growing from week to week. Yesterday, Pshychonauts was released on Steam, and today Activision announced that they will soon be distributing Call of Duty, Call of Duty United Offensive, Gun, and Call of Duty 2 on Valve’s Steam distribution network.

The reason for this was to enhance their “current online distribution model.”, as senior director of business development, Dave Anderson, says

“As broadband penetration continues to grow worldwide, offering our titles digitally to the millions of gamers connected through Steam makes sense to us”

Call of Duty 2 will retail on Steam for $39.95, while Call of Duty, Call of Duty United Offensive, and Gun will retail for $19.95 each. The titles will be available for download later this month.
