I thought everyone pays for the internet, I don’t know anyone getting it for free.

Also, I concur, just b/c’s Sony’s online service is free, does not make it better. PS2 had free online and it sucked. We’ll just have to wait and see how the PS3 does. Until then, I’ll be selling my launch PS3 on ebay, so keep a look out.

u do realize in order to have no unified system and having no login u need dedicated servers and people to run them. It costs Microsoft money to that therefore we have to pay for that.

Sony is leaving this to the publishers, so not to many games will be online because it will cost them money to run there own servers.

Doom it’s not even about being a fanboi (btw I own all systems atm) It’s just Microsoft has put alot of money and time into LIVE, just cause something is free does not make it better.

Would u rather pay for a honda civic (cheap and reliable) or drive a free gremlin u got from ur grandma??

of the 18 million xbox’s sold world wide only one million is stupid enough to pay for playing games online.

And by late 2007 early 2008 they will have worked out any major bugs in their *FREE* online service. I’m waiting until God of War 3 ships … there is no other game that could make me get one sooner. Shame there is no God of War launch title.

Xbox Live is to solid for this to even compete,but a nice try. Shaka ur just as arrogant as SONY to think that Live would die. Do you really think that SOE can come close to the service of something that has been out for so long and fixed major bugs?

Shit some sony games aren’t even online compatible i.e Virta Tenis 3 and others I can’t remember atm(cause I have no interest in them.)

There is just no reason to get a PS3 @ launch If u are even considering one.

The ps3 will have possibly 50% + of it’s total units SOLD on the net = users on the net by ps3

So think of at least 50 million users online, in a few years.

Nice! Very nice! Alast Sony is gonna give you more for ur money with the PS3. Should be interesting to see if it can topple Xbox-live service. Major kudos for Sony for this one. Now all they have to do is lower the price and U will win the heartz of many gamerz. Or atleast take back some that thought of buying a 360 or Wii.
