Source Engine Coming To Xbox360

Valve’s award winning graphics engine, Source, is coming to Xbox360. The developer has announced that they will start offering an Xbox360 optimized version of the engine for developers. Valve is already working on Half Life 2 for Xbox360, using the same software. President Gabe Newel says
“The combination of Source and the Xbox 360 provides game designers throughout the industry the chance to create powerful entertainment experiences. Whether they’re pursuing a traditional FPS, RTS, RPG or delving into new genres, Source and the Xbox360 are designed to offer the flexibility and tools to allow designers to pursue any design imaginable

A solid engine which still looks good for its age but really it just can’t compare with UE3 overall. But I am fan so this is definitely good news.

What a good idea. It will lead to different art directorial choices than with UE3
