No PS3 Achievement Points
A few months ago Sony was rumored to include some sort of achievement points for the PlayStation 3, dubbed “Entitlements”. It turns out that Sony isn’t that interested in the idea at this point, even though the gamerscore remains one of the most popular features of the Xbox360. Sony’s Jack Tretton said in an interview with Wired:
“It’s very difficult to draw analogies from your success on SOCOM with your success on Madden. Madden players care about peoples’ success on Madden. So the publisher will have the flexibility to have a robust ranking system on a game-by-game basis. So the intention right now is not to have something that is pan-platform.”
He went on to say that Sony will eventually support a form of gamerpoints or gamerscore, current first and third party games however, do not include any such feature.

I think it’s good. Less nazi behaviour on: RANK???
In this way people who are good in fpses won’t be afraid to play a sportsgame they are less good in. Freedom of the publishers is good as well, let them decide.

Doom: Yeah, allow the publishers to decide… maybe EA will charge premium for you to have better stats/awards
