OK, this is about enough, advertising placement in films is highly regulated… games players need the same protection.
EA are a REPULSIVE company.

EA SUCKS ASS
October 24th, 2006 at 1:07 am
All too true… Someone has to draw the line somewhere. First, they started shaving seconds off of TV shows for extra ad time. Then, they started putting unskippable ads on DVDs. Then ads in gaming, then spyware-targeted ads… It honestly wou;dn’t surprise me if they eventually tried something like this.
So, my policy is simple: If I am paying money for any type of media, especially full retail price, I shouldn’t additionally be paying in terms of ads. Essentially, ads are an additional “cost” for the media that isn’t properly disclosed. It’s technically not fraudulent, but I think it’s morally twisted. Try to squeeze customers for all they’re worth, and you’re going to get people looking anywhere else to get their entertainment without constant annoyances like this.

ummm…you guys are jokeing ofcourse there is gonna be adds and spyware in online games purposely put in there by the companies like EA. how do you think they get there software and servers. mcdonalds and IGA and companies pay for it..well a bit so they can see what you do and like…EA allow it because its how they are able to make games and make money off them. you mab be annoyed by it but its in everything EA just put real time adds in theres…the game is spose to be real time..

Macca you got it all wrong. People buy EA software, so it’s there. if nobody bought it, no use for having adds in it, hm?
Face it nerds, PEOPLE LIKE BATTLEFIELD THEY BUY IT.
Period, end of discussion. If you dont like the EA shit, don’t buy it. There are millions of people who do, so shut the fuck up! (I only bought 1 (2nd hand) ea title in 5 years, black is cool:P)

? I play battlefield 2142 quite a bit and the only adds I’ve noticed are for servers. Online, on the billboards you’ll see ads for servers sometimes. where are these advertisements of which you speak?
