Bethesda Softworks, makers of the award-wining RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, have teamed up with Zombie Studios to make Rogue Warrior, a first person shooter based on Dick Marcinko’s original book series. The game will use the increasingly popular Unreal Engine 3, and is coming to the PC, Xbox360 and PlayStation 3 platforms. Rogue Warrior is a Splinter Cell/Rainbow Six-styled tactical shooter, emphasizing on team-play and storyline.

The game will support 10 multiplayer modes, and a unique map-building system allowing users to create over 200 different multiplayer maps. The game also features an “on-the-fly” co-op campaign, where up to four players can join an existing campaign and leave at will.

You will play as a Navy SEAL trapped behind enemy lines in North Korea, as a war breaks out between North and South Korea; your job is to find a way back home to South Korea, while trying to avoid the North Koreans. The game is scheduled for a late-2007 release.

Anything using the UE3 engine has my attention these days. Looks like a decent game with a decent storyline. Looking forward to see more.
